Ed Delahanty led to the winning run for Boston. Delahanty scored on a wild pitch to the next batter and Oscar
Charleston followed later in the inning with a two-run homerun. Missouri tied the game at six in the bottom
of the 8th using four straight hits scoring three runs, capped off
by Sam Thompsons (2 for 5, 2 RBI) triple.
Babe Ruth was 2 for 3 with 3 runs, 2 RBI, and a solo homerun. Honus Wagner was 2 for 5 with a solo shot.

name by striking out eight Americans on the way to a shutout win. Rogan (8 IP, 5 H, 3 BB, 8 SO, 0 ER) got help

All of the Americans scoring came on a three-run bomb by Pops
Stargell. Other than that lapse, John
Clarkson brought his best stuff to earn the complete game win (9 IP, 7 H, 1 BB,
4 SO, 3 ER).

In an unbelievable comeback,
the Missouri River Bats scored eight 9th inning runs to defeat
Boston. Jackie Robinson completed the
scoring with a two-out three-run homer.
All of Bostons runs were delivered by Roger Conner, who was 3 for 5
with two homers and 6 RBI. Judy Johnson

inning single into center field to score Roger Bresnahan and send the Yankee
fans home happy. The Americans managed
only five hits off of three Yankee pitchers.

homerun to Paul Casanova. Dazzy Vance

his Yankees in the game, but once he was removed for a pinch-hitter in the 6th
