He wore thick make-up to conceal the blotches that the disease had left
on his face and under his shirt he wore thick padding to disguise how
emaciated his body has become. Freddie kept his secret from the other
members of Queen - it was only 24 hours before the end that the singer
admitted to the world that he had Aids.
On November 23, 1991, Freddie announced to the world that he had aids.
He sadly passed away the next day
(November 24, 1991) at his London home peacefully surrounded by close
friends and family. His funeral was a small private affair - except
that it took 4 Daimler carsjust to carry the flowers. The service was
conducted in the Zoroastrian faith. After Freddies death, the three
remaining members of Queen decided to re-release Freddies first great
hit, 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and donate the proceeds to the Terrence Higgins
Trust, the British Aids Charity.
Freddie you will always be my best!!!
