In the Age of Legends ancient knowledge concerning the Essences of the One Power was kept by only the most powerful of the Aes Sedai and Dreadlords. It is known that the Aes Sedai and Dreadlords,
using complex weaves of spirit, fire, water, and earth created what became known as an Essence. The Aes Sedai and Dreadlords through long, forgotten techniques used these Essences weaving them onto weapons and armor. These weapons became highly sought after as they held within themselves the power of the Essences.
It was recorded in the War of the Ravens that some of these Weapons of ther cases mPower were known to give the wielder or wearer the ability to channel more, or become stronger, and in oake weapons do severe damage. It is known that in Tel'aran'rhiod there is a dark place where a long, forgotten Aes Sedai, from the
Age of Legends was bound, has the knowledge and skill to weave an Essence onto any type of armor or weapon, creating these highly sought-after Weapons of Power. In the Darkness it is
thought that certain Essences were weaved with the dark spirits of ancient Legends and then weaved onto weapons and armor, creating even more powerful Weapons of Power.
