In Mr. Jonson's class, I see snow melting from the mountain. Yes, it's winter already and presidental election day has drawn near. In Korea, tenure of the president is 5 years. Since last election was on Decemher, 1997, there will be presidental election after about 20days. It's time for every voters to determine who to vote.
President is very important person for every country. He or she is the head of that country so we should be prudent to choose whom to advocate. When we are deciding whom to vote, we should consider on his or her characteristics. First, we should consider his integerity. If he is not pure, he might get a bribe or use country's money extravagantly as if it were a private one. Second, we should consider on his leadership. If he is timid and doesn't possess any leadership, it is difficult for him to lead the country. Being the head of the country, president should choose what to do and bring many plans on to make the country better which is charactrized by his leader ship. Last of all, the prudency is important. Though he possess leadership and carry out many plans, if that plans are of a negative effect it's rather not to make out such plans. Being prudent, the president should not carry out all the plans excessively, but should choose the best plans among them.
This is 16th presidental election and many new platforms are said by candidates. I found that that there are three important platforms. First of all, Mr Lee's platform is to make the clean country. He said that he will make the country without bribe or injustice. In order to do this, he will make 8 important parties in Korea to be neutral. He also will not allow presiden'ts relatives to enter the important postition in government. Another important platfrom is high quality education. High salaries will be given to teachers and more money will be invested on education system. Third important platform is about attitude toward NorthKorea. Some candidates said there will be a hard-line system toward NorthKorea while others advocate Sunshine policy.
Among the candidates of this election, I prefer Mr.Lee Hwe Chang the best. he possess three of the most necessary characteristics-integerity, leadership and prudency. He also has many experience in government policy or government system. Moreover, I prefer his platforms the best.
However, if I can nominate anyone in Korean other than present candidates to president of Korea, I'll choose Mr. Jang Wonky. When you read his name, you will feel that he is the man who wonkies-who shakes his body. However, he knows everything about everything. He is also very flexible to others opinion. I'm not joking. Kmla families! Please believe me! Wonky is really the best one to be a president!
