A Leg At Each Corner

In the North of England we are blessed with wide open spaces in which to enjoy nature, and for those with pets small or large, locally produced feed stuffs and products needed to keep our pets in good condition.

In our area a large range of animals are kept, whether for farming, work or pure enjoyment.  What ever category you come under, your animals take time, money and commitment to keep them in good health.

All animals deserve an except able existence, should you see or be aware of an animal not being cared for correctly it is your duty as an animal lover to report it. Knowing when to step in and when not to can be a  difficult decision. If you are not sure please contact one of the welfare organisations, they would far rather deal with a false alarm than an animal that as been neglected for  too long.
Some times  distress to an animal is caused through ignorance rather than deliberate cruelty, in these cases welfare organisations can offer help and support, and through correct training and guidance the situation can be resolved.
You need never be afraid of retribution as the welfare societies never reveal who as made the complaint.

Wild life are continually under threat from  the continual building that gobbles up our countryside. Despite this there are still joys to behold in our country side. Our wild life needs protecting. The dispute over hunting will, I feel continue for many years, but while it remains legal those that disapprove will have to accept the situation. But you can do some thing about the illegal hunting, egg stealing and badger baiting that goes on.
Once again please do not be afraid  to report  someone that you know is committing any of these offences, your identity will not be revealed.
