Steel Claws Special Rules. Specialty Weapons Preference: Due to the fact that the Space Marines from the Steel Claws Chapter view the use of any weapon other than their standard issue weapons as a great honor, they receive training in use of their weapons so that they can be at less of a disadvantage to their brethren that are using standard issue weapons. This interprets in game terms, to the ability for any Steel Claws infantry to be able to move half their movement distance and still be able to fire a heavy weapon. However, due to the fact that it is still a heavy weapon, any model firing in this manner receives a minus 2 to their overall weapon skill in terms of rolling to hit. If the weapon uses a template, instead roll a scatter die and a six sided die (1D6) and if it rolls anything other than a hit, move the template in the direction indicated on the scatter die a number of inches equal to the number rolled on the six sided die. If the weapon already scatters, roll an additional six sided die and take the greater result. If rolling for a difficult terrain test, roll as a d3. (result of 1-2=1 result of 3-4=2 result of 5-6=3) No Bikes: One of the major issues that lead to the split off of the Steel Claws Chapter from the Dark Angels Chapter was the fact that they preferred to not ride bikes. In game terms this means that the Steel Claws cannot use bikes in the form of a squad choice. They can have independent characters on a bike but not a bike squad.
