Even dissassembly of the magazines is a snap. Note the depression on the bottom of the magazine of this photo. The nose of a catridge conveniently fits in this depression. By pressing the depression with a catridge or other improvised tool, the floorplate can be removed so that the entire magazine can be cleaned or otherwise serviced.

The depression is actually the plastic piece attached the the bottom of the spring. It protrudes slightly through a hole in the bottom of the floorplate not visible in this picture. The spring exerts force on that piece which, in turn, exerts a force on two protrusions on the magazine floorplate that lock into the cutout areas on the mag body. The pressure is released on the protrusions when the piece is pressed on, for example, with the nose of a cartridge.
