Waspinator was one of Megatron's original group of recruits who stole the Golden Disk from the Maximals on Cybertron. Waspinator is convinced that he is the most superior Predacon, mostly due to his ability to fly. Waspinator is a fairly easy going Predacon who often feels that the universe uses him as its "chew toy". Waspinator has an unbreakable spirit however, and never surrenders. Despite being damaged repeatedly, dismembered and constantly being picked on, he struggles on, hoping one day to fulfill his "plans".
Waspinator was among the first of the Maximals and Predacons to deduce that the planet the Beast Wars were being fought on was in fact ancient Earth. He almost entered an alliance with Dinobot to obtain the much sought after "Golden Disks" but became recycled before he could carry out his scheme.
Waspinator is agile and loves his ability to fly. He has two primary weapons: a hand held missile launcher and blasters from his eyes. Waspinator was once possessed by the spark of the ancient Decepticon Starscream. During this time he managed to cause a huge amount of ruckus among both Predacon and Maximal ranks.
By the end of the Beast Wars, Waspinator had tired of war and decided to lead a life of peace as the chief of an ancient protohuman village.
