Fuego, which means "fire" in Spanish, is one of the most beautifully moving Andalusians in HL today. His strides are so fluid, so relaxed. He rides like he's being carried on a cloud, effortless. Fuego is very well mannered. Anyone can ride him and look good doing it. He has great conformation, a thick neck, round back, straight legs, beautiful head. He has no bad habits, he's a complete angel in the barn and under saddle. Fuego was imported from Spain where he was being trained by Pedro Maza. He's approved by the Cria Caballar in Spain and we are certain he'll have equal success on this side of the great pond in HL.

"Third to enter the ring were Fuego and Kemena.
The two came out strong, with confidence splashed all
over the faces of riders Wendell Young and Bobby
Brown. They put on a flawless performance. Each horse
was perfectly synchronized and the confidence emitted
by the riders certainly passed into the horses as they
left all of the spectators with dropped jaws. In the
end, judges were proud to award first place to Fuego
and Kemena." Amethyst, SF Lipizzaner/Andalusian Dressage Event
Special thanks to David & Jacqueline Suechting of Camass Andaluz for allowing me to use pictures of their gorgeous stud.

Ophelia's Evaluation:
I think Fuego is a fantastic speciman. He definitely has "fire" and fluidity. I asked you to take him through a couple of airs and he was perfect. It is obvious that during his life in Spain he has developed nice impulsion and he does not exhibit any resistance. He epitomes the lightness that is so sought after in top level dressage horses.
Amethyst's Massage Write-Up
Fuego's rub-down proved him to be a very conditioned boy! He had a few tense areas randomly around his body. I assume this is from spirited pasture play and not daily work since there was no specific targeted area. I decided to work on the muscle's anchors (where it attachs to the bone by tendons). Discomfort in these areas will put strain on other areas, so this will lower his overall risk of muscle damage from simple things like a slip in the pasture, tripping, etc. Most injuries due to muscular strain are cumulative, and it would never be possible to track each time your horses strains himself in play. Fuego seemed very relaxed during this process, so I assumed I was working the right places! :) I then quickly massaged his other large muscles, again using hazelnut oil to benefit his skin. I also worked in a quick stretch, but he is already very limber. I can assure you that your next training session should be a great one! :)
