ENDANGERED SPECIES
en dan gered - threatened with extinction <species>
In America today, many young black males have little reason to hope.  They have become overwhelmed by destructive influences and most do not even have a dream for the future.  Problems of many black adolescent males result from the lack of social and economic opportunities that would allow them to recognize their dreams.  They face low life expectancy, urban violence, social pressures and growing racism.  The number of black youths enticed by fast money and expensive cars is steadily on the increase.  A generation of black youth has been lost to crime, drugs and despair.  As a result, this "endangered species" is threatening the future of our African-American race.

Doc Settles'
"ENDANGERED SPECIES" presents a clear message of reality in this day and age.  Take a good look.  This could have been any one of you at some point in your life;  the look of uncertainty, not knowing which direction to go, but yet with the youthful hope of tomorrow being a better day.
"ENDANGERED SPECIES" is an artistic expression of innocence, depicting a young African-American's painful struggle to find a positive niche that is between pride in achievements of those he looks up to and the negative influences that beckon him.  Suitable for hanging at home, business,  school, or church, each 18" x 24" 300-limited edition acrylic print is personally signed and numbered by the artist.
Each limited edition print comes signed and numbered by the artist and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and the Endangered Species narrative above.

Price is $75 plus $5 shipping and handling.
