This is a story about a dog named Lucky...

Early morning, she wakes me up
Bark, bark, barks at my bedroom door
It's time to feed her, hungry dog
It's my leg she likes going for
I go...
"Aren't you lucky? A stray, mongrel dog"
And she whines...

She's so lucky, she was a stray
And she bark, bark, barks when she's hungry, thinking
If there is no bone ready in my bowl
Then why won't he let me bark ?

Lost in the street, no one's pup
And there was no one around to feed her
And the cars are speeding
And she keeps on barking

Isn't she lucky, this stray, mongrel dog?
She is so lucky, but why does she bark?
If there's clean water in her bowl
Why is she barking now?
