Name: Nickname(s): Age: Birthday: Gender: Family: Height: Weight: Appearance: Personality: History: Likes: Dislikes: Name: Kaihou Seishin Kunz Nickname(s): Kunzyte [like the gem stone], Kai, Kunzy, Kunz Age: 15 Grade: Freshmen Birthday: May 10 Gender: Male Height: 5'7 Weight: 125 lbs Appearance: Kaihou is a slender boy, so much so his hipbones can often be seen, though not unhealthily so. He applies this to a good diet and metabolism as he doesn't exercise. Due to his heritage, Kunzyte has soft Japanese facial features. His hair, a gift from his father, is naturally a dirty blond. He has been dying it since he was twelve, continually making it black and magenta in some way or another. His hair often changes in style and where the color is placed, but never in which colors are used. Kai is almost never seen without his contacts [these being a light pink color], though their natural color is a medium blue. Kunz is on the pale side and he's really not sure how he's been able to keep this color for he doesn't do anything about it. He is no stranger to make up. With parents in such a profession as his, it's hard not to be. Because of this, he is often seen wearing makeup, almost always wearing eyeliner and cover up. Easily described as 'pretty', it's a good thing he is used to stares. Kai's wardrobe is rather ordinary, or at least more ordinary than one might image from the child of a clothes designer. He often wears simple things. Jeans; plain or band t-shirts; vans, converse, boots or something similar; and hoodies are his most common attire. He does own some stranger things, saved or sent from his mother. Kunzyte has two piercings in each ear on the lower part of the earlobe. Upon his lip is a vertically pierced labret, placed perfectly dead center. Kai wears a large silver bangle around his right wrist, hand-made by Tanzie's Paduang grandmother. Personality: Kaihou is very easy-going, sweet, and friendly, if not a bit hyper, too. A bit innocent and somewhat naive. He's very smiley [smiles are one of his absolute favorite things]. He's one of those people who can make friends easily and make just about anyone smiles [if he really wants to]. He's not as out-going as he might seem, more the one to have a few close friends than a bunch of acquaintances. A lover of art, Kunzyte has been trained in many different sections since childhood. This often leads to him finding strange connections that others wouldn't [and often can't] see. Kai is a bit dense. This is not to say he's stupid, only that he doesn't realize things that are perfectly clear quite often. A boy who needs you to scream whatever you are trying to get across in his face [not literally of course]. But careful, he may not be as dense as he seems. Kai is very uncomfortable when others know too much about him unless they are that chosen few best friends, those that he knows without a doubt would not use his fears or weaknesses against him in some way down the road. When stuck in a strange position emotionally, Kai will push aside his feelings and act as nothing happen, much to the dismay of others, to deal with later. This can cause problems if one doesn't understand this about him and so very few actually do. All in all, Kunz is a very good friend, someone who would never betray or backstab another. A very balanced person who tries to take the middle ground in any fight [though often because he can see both sides of such]. Very truthful and wise to other people's personality quirks, he's very easy to get along with. He seems to live by the rule of 'treat others how you would like to be treated' unless, of course, this person has no intention of treating him nicely. Times like this are when his best friend's personality seems to shine through him and he becomes somewhat unpredictable [to an extent]. Clique: Individuals Second Clique: None Origin: Born in Tokyo, Japan. Moved to Pyay, Myanmar, before moving to NYC. Family: Kunzyte is half Caucasian and half Japanese. Father - Robert Kunz [Caucasian] Mother - Iol Kunz [Kioki] [Japanese] Sister - Tomoshi Best friend - Tanzikala Faeroz [like a sister to him] History: He was born Kaihou Seishin in Tokyo, Japan on May 10, 1989 at 5:55 in the morning to an American-born father, Robert Kunz, and Japanese mother, Iol Kioki. His father had moved there to launch his career as a photographer, his mother was a great designer and they met in Art School [college]. When he was only five and his mother was pregnant with his sister Tomoshi, their home caught fire and they were forced to move to Pyay, Myanmar, with some of Kai's mother's family. It was here that he met his best friend Tanzikala Faeroz, his Bamir-French and half Kayan [Padaung] next door neighbor. They quickly became friends. It was difficult to have a thriving career in Myanmar for the Kunz's which lead to many flights in and out of the country for his parents. Because they worked together, when gone Kaihou and young Tomoshi had to be taken care of by Tanzie's family which included her mother, father, and grandmother. The two families grew very close and often had dinners together. Living as one family in two households didn't mean Kunz would get away from his mother's overly protective habits and worries. Afraid her children would do poorly home alone, she forced them to take many extra curricular classes, though none of them being active, for dear God he might break a bone! Through these classes and a few of his parents clients, Kai learned to play keyboards/pianos, guitars [though not very well]. He learned to paint, draw and sketch in all categories, and many other various arts. This was of course being learned on top of learning Burmese, English, and Japanese. When young, Kai and Tanzie [or Tan-Tan-chan as he called her] came across a box of his father's old things. Among them were various albums by different English-speaking bands. Both children quickly grew interested in this and is the cause for him detesting Tomo's music [she listens to Japanese-speaking artists, of which he dislikes only because it's 'her' music. Silly children] Life was good between the photographer/clothes designer home and the animal trainer home. Soon the best friends developed into something more. This really didn't last long and only resulted in a few months in both 12 year old's first relationship and their first kiss. But what resulted from the break up was much, much more... Including Kai's Kunzyte nick name. A set of strict rules for one another and a stronger bond. This was when, bizarre enough, they decided they were very much like siblings. Kai lived here for three more years until his parents decided to move in search of a better career. His father, having come from California persuaded them to settle in the US. Ironically, they settled on the complete other end of the continent. Both children were enrolled in boarding schools to make things easier on the family. Despite the seemingly carelessness of their parents, there is a great love between all in the family. Kaihou fell into a slight depression upon moving from all his friends and is struggling to regain his former happiness [while following all of Tanzie's rules for his new life, not a small feat]. Likes: - SMILES - Working with his hands, whether in a moldable material or with a pencil and eraser. - Pianos - Making things from scraps [including new clothes or art pieces] - Happy music, whether today's or 80's - Listening to the above while drawing - Writing to or talking to Tanzie - Animals, while his protective mother won't let him own one, he adores them. From house cats to tigers to snakes to badgers. - Jewelry - Hair dye - Paduang culture Dis-Likes: - Close-minded people - Animal cruelty - Hunting - Hiphop and rap [slightly] - Confusion - People not holding up their end of pacts or deals - People being rude or mean to him before he's had a chance to even breathe around them Goals: - Graduate highschool - Keep up the 'rules' with Tanzie and their friendship - Visit Myanmar whenever possible - Attend a good art college Fears: - Phobia of thunder and lightning as his house fire began that way. - People abusing his trust - Losing Tanzie or her friendship - Not holding up to whatever standards his loved ones may have - Something horrible happening to a family member Name: Shane Takahara Nickname(s): Shay Age: 15 Grade: Freshmen Birthday: October 22 Gender: Male Height: 5'5 Weight: 103 lbs. Appearance: Small frame and short stature. Bleach blond, 'white' hair with straight bangs coming just to his eye brows. His thick hair is cut in many layers and very often he will place some of it in pigtails. Two longer strands, about eight inches past his shoulders rest on his chest at all times. He often plays with these, braiding and/or twisting them in his fingers to cure boredom or quell nerves. Gray-green eyes, somewhat slanted at the sides and very almond shaped, commonly outlined in black eyeliner and usually beneath a lid of color, this color matches his clothing more often than not. One left cartilage piercing, as in upper ear, it is a simple, silver ring. Very light complexion, often covered in the lightest hue of powder makeup he could find. Has 80 black rubber bracelets and 20 color outfit-matching bracelets at all times, split evenly on his wrists. They speculate this is to hide the scars they've placed there, but for him it's simply fashion. He wears many necklaces, usually silver, and silver or gold rings, though these trade on and off and are not a constant. He has many different ones for different occasions or moods. Wears lots of color, bright colors especially, though always mixed with black. He is very fond of highlighter colors; pink, yellow, blue, and green, in which he paints his nails to match that day's outfit. He prefers to wear skirts, including over pants. Either pants or leg warmers hang over the tops of boots. Often these are black platforms with many buckles and zippers that end between mid-shin and kneecap. Often wears gloves or 'arm warmers', once again matching the days color scheme. He also has a secret tattoo on the inside of his thigh which reads "self hate" in Kanji. Personality: Shay in a nutshell :: Hyper extrovert shell; shy, quiet and hurt within. While in school and around strangers, he is very 'bouncy', literally and otherwise. With a smile being an almost constant expression, he is the ideal optimist. Yet, when alone or with close friends he reveals a different side, a very quiet and almost closed-off Shane. This Shane, speaks in a low tone, hardly smiles, often staring off into the distance, apparently lost in thought. Despite having 'two sides', he is not two faced and has a set of morals and ideals specific to himself. To name a few :: Because he feels he has to lie about certain aspects of himself, he tries to remain as truthful as possible. He does what he can to prevent feeling like a burden on other people. He finds it hard to trust people considering his history with friendships. Though he is a people-person, he never allows himself to grow close to the person. Despite this, there is a certain type of person he refuses to have anything to do with ["Closed-minded fakes who deceive others."] though, unfortunately, these attributes are easily hidden by those that have them. He despises Them and does everything possible to stay out of their way and as far away from them as possible. He owns a white Pomeranian puppy named Danse whom he adores and loves to mess with people's thoughts on gender when they ask him about his; this has become a favorite past-time of his. Shay loves to make others laugh and smile and seems to be blissfully unaware of ways to make a fool of himself. One might be envious of carefree nature. Clique: Individuals Second Clique: None Origin: Tokyo, Japan Family: Mother; Takahara Hiroko [or the Westernized Hiroko Takahara as she goes by now]. Grandmother died from cancer when he was 6. Never met his father. History: He's had a hard life. Being conceived in a rape, his mother was constantly distant with him. They had no other family except her mother. Things were good, he often refers to this as the best time of his life. Grandmama died of an illness when he was 6. This caused his mother to leave Japan and move to New York. She loved America, having even named her son an English name. Hiroko worked two jobs to help pay the bills, this only increased her distance with her son. It was hard for her, surely. Their neighbors watched him after school. He made friends with their son Kaesie of the same age quite quickly. They were inseparable, Shay secretly fell in love with the boy. Yet, things changed. In 8th grade, Kae changed, having made friends with four others and dragging Shay along for the ride. He was used by his so-called 'friends'. They remained just nice enough to keep him around for entertainment or to do their homework and get them what they desired. They taunted him, teased him, beat him. The boys, referred to as 'They' or 'Them' by Shay, did everything in their power to make him miserable... always announcing that 'only a true friend would do this'. They even went as far as to manipulate him to get a tattoo and to cut his wrists to make it look like he had attempted suicide. Although he was not suicidal, he was in fact anorexic because of them. Upon the last day of school, they attacked him, sending him for a short hospital stay. This brought him and his mother closer as she became highly protective of him after this and had to nurse him. Because of his fear for Them [and his love, albeit faltering, for Kae] he refused to file a police report or give the details and names of the ones who did it. Because of Them, he is now secretly bulimic [the eating disorder having flipped as they tend to do], carrying rubber bands and clips at all times to pull back his hair in order to purge. Likes: Write short stories. Answer with "no." instead of answering 'yes' or 'no' to hard, though unimportant, questions. Dance and make people happy. His favorite music is riot grrl, dancey, and hyper. Dis-Likes: Talk about his immediate past or his father. Dis-likes physical sports and P.E itself. Trusting people. Goals: Shane has no goals. Life isn't looking too bright at this point in his life, he's heading back to school and knows that They will be there. He does not like looking too far ahead and therefore is just beginning to develop goals for after surviving high school. Fears: Fears that They will continue their torture this school year. Fears that everyone is not trustworthy and out to hurt him. Name: Tanzikala Faeroz [no middle name] Nickname(s): Tanzie, Tan-Tan-chan Age: 17 Grade: Junior Birthday: April 14 Gender: Female Actor/Actress: May Kabyar [Actress/Model from Myanmar] Sample Picture: SampleOne SampleTwo She wears the bracelets and a few rings not to the extent of 'stretching' http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Lefitte/tanziegy7.jpg Height: 5'5 Weight: 122 lbs Appearance: Tanzie is on the short side, though she hardly ever notices, and has a slim body. She is slightly tanned and has Asian facial features. Her shoulder length hair is naturally a deep black, though she streaks it with blue, this being a not-so easy task and causing some damage to her hair where she repeatedly bleaches and colors it. Her eyebrows are also this natural black hue. Eyes are a bit out of place, a gift from her French grandfather, they are hazel. Clothes-wise, she has a unique style. Tanzie is prone to wearing very casual clothing on most days. Jeans and a shirt are the easiest throw-on items, this is not to say she doesn't care what she looks like, for she very much does. Nor is it saying that she is boring. While her jeans are often the simple Levi's, her shirts are often quite interesting, commonly keeping with a bit of an artistic flare like paint splatters, for example. Not being one to truly care what others think, Tanzie is also one to occasionally overdo it. Due to her best friend's mother being a clothes designer, Tanzie owns many strange outfits that have been made for her personally. She adores these, shirts, skirts, jackets alike, and tends to wear them on special occasions. True to her Padaung heritage, Tanzikala wears a few traditional items that tend to cause quite a stare among the general public. Four thick, silver bangles rest upon each wrist, each growing smaller as they move towards her hand. These were specially made for her by Grandmother. Every once in a while, Tanzie will be found causing much more of a stir with her neck coil. Meant to elongate the figure, or perhaps protect the wearer from a tiger attack, the golden brass 'rings' extend from their widest point upon her collar bone and narrow slightly up to her chin. She takes them off to prevent the weight from disfiguring her by changing the structure of her entire torso. Often a few days after taking them off, light bruises can be seen around the places they rest the most of their weight upon. Personality: A bit difficult to accurately describe, the most notable thing about her may be her outgoing personality. She is a very happy person generally and can often put a smile on others faces to match her own. Tanzie is by far not afraid to speak her mind or stand up for her opinions. She is very intelligent even if she may have some trouble conveying her feelings due to differences in languages. That also goes to say that it is not rare for her to get a word or two wrong or entirely mistaken. Though she usually has a good attitude towards this and will often willingly make fun of her mistake, there are times that it can greatly trouble her, adding undesired stress to her life. Usually a very calm person, she can become very hyper and excited with little warning, especially if with a good friend. One thing Tanzie cannot stand is closed-mindedness and others rude and immature actions. It seems someone forgot to tell her that girls are also not supposed to hit boys for she has fought both boys and girls many times before. This is never a thoughtless action, it is almost always started by the other person's verbal or physical fighting with her or one of her friends and for the most part, she tries to solve things without violence. She tends to be a bit protective and defensive of her friends. Tanzie has the habit of nicknaming people and will do so if one comes to mind whether she likes the person or not. If she does happen to like you, it will become your new name, if she has any say in it. She is a very strong personality, if not a bit stubborn, and can come off as a bit fearless [though this is not true]. Tanzie is a writer and can often be found writing some various story in either Burmese or English, mostly fiction [meaning she has a wonderful imagination to boot]. Clique: Individuals Second Clique: None Origin: Born in Pyay, Myanmar [formerly Burma] Family: Ethnically, she is half Padaung [Kayan], 1/4 French, and 1/4 Bamar [another Myanmar ethnic group]. Grandmother [Full Padaung] Mother - Cho Faeroz [Full Padaung] Father - Thurein Faeroz [1/2 French, 1/2 Bamar] She is an only child and has never met any cousins, though she has a few aunts and uncles. History: Tanzikala was born in on April Fourteenth, under the zodiac sign of Aries, in Pyay, Myanmar. Her family was of very mixed heritage, including her Padaung Grandmother who had recently come to live with them to escape governmental harassment when the rest of her tribe fled to neighboring Thailand. Her parents were in the process of making a great life for the family in the business of animal training. They specialized in more simple animals at first; reptiles, birds, et cetera; before they turned their attention to other species such as tigers. When Tanzie was seven, a new family moved in to the left of her own home. This was the Kunz family, who had a young son [Kaihou] of five. Despite the language barrier, the two grew to become the best of friends. They were inseparable and such a friendship caused their families to merge and became one within two separate households. At age 14, this developed into a bit more resulting simply in a first kiss for both friends before they called off the relationship. This seemed to only strengthen their friendship while teaching them a great deal on relationships and each other. Also spawning a set of rules the friends agreed [pact-wise] to follow. Despite her occasional breaking of said rules, she seems to lay them down for Kai [or Kunzyte as she named him] with an iron fist. It was around this time in her life that Robert Kunz [Kaihou's father] sucked both young teens into modeling, which she rather enjoyed. Against her mother's wishes, Tanzie took a great interest in her Padaung heritage. She adores her grandmother and greatly looks up to her [who wouldn't when one is considered an 'all-seeing eye of knowledge'?]. Through her, she has learned many traditions and has gained a deep love for who she is. Tanzie does, to an extent that doesn't compare to Grandmother's, participate in some of the Kayan-Padaung people's traditions. She used to wear the brass rings around her shins when young, continually wears silver bangles, and goes off and on wearing brass coils around her neck. She is sure to wear the neck rings for only short amounts of time for she does not want to permanently damage her structure. Sadly, Kunzyte was forced to move away, setting her into a bit of depression. When you grow up with someone and see them every day for ten years, it's heartbreaking when suddenly they are gone. For this reason and because of her growing curiosity in other countries and cultures, Tanzie begged to study abroad. After much deliberation, her parents agreed to allow this and she set to get into NYH. Upon achieving this, Tanzie moved into the school, a place completely unlike her home. It can be a bit frustrating for her though, as she is excellent in Burmese but often has trouble with English [mostly verbally as many Myanmar text books are written in a mix of the languages]. She has also picked up a very slightly knowledge of Japanese due to her attending regular 'classes' with the Kunz's. Likes: - Animals [especially the large and the strange] - Friends - Inside jokes - Nicknames - Writing - Fiction books - Music [English, Burmese, and Japanese] - Cultures around the world [especially tribal] - Padaung culture - Tribal jewelry - Tattoos Dis-Likes: - Closed-minded people - Rude or immature people - Animal abuse and hunting of endangered species - Senseless waste of something perfectly usable - Those who act before taking at least a fraction of a second to think Goals: Tanzie has very high goals for herself, ones that she very proudly intends on pursuing and accomplishing. - Finish high school - Return home to help with the family business - Become a well-known writer - Make a good life for herself - Have children - Make what differences she can in the world - Die happy with wonderful friends and the love of her life at her side Simple, no? Fears: - Failing to achieve her more reasonable goals - Loved ones dying - Disappointing those she loves - Not being there when she's needed most - Losing loved ones Name: Ame Reila Seabrook Nickname(s): Given: Ama Received: Candy, Oryx Age: Birthday: July 29, 2014?
