IT is widely used nowadays in many areas. To 21st century, IT will become more significant in education aspect. There are some points which is for using IT in education.

There are advantages of using IT in education for students

- explore student's hiden ability and widen horizon of study
- use technology to obtain more material in doing homework
- increase self-learning abilitiy on web
- expand students' international and cultural awareness
- study on the web is flexible----no limition of time and place

There are advantages of using IT in education for teachers

- share experiences with other teachers online
- communicate with parents and students throughout internet
- some software will help teachers in teaching difficult topics
- send information in form of electronic mail which can save time and papers for photocopying and distributing copies to students
- gain more classroom materials that has been obtained by the Internet rather than traditional reference books

However, there are some disadvanatages of using IT in education.
- students may learn wrong concepts on the web. Thus, teacher should choose suitable resources for the students and give guidance to them when seraching throughout the web.
- teachers spends much time on learning new software and thus spend less time on preparing study materials to the students
