On the day of wedding, two families perform "Hair Dressing Ritual" and "Capping Ritual" for the bride and groom respectively. Then the groom sets out to the bride's house and he will inevitably be blocked by bride's friends and bridesmaids out side the door. The groom must pass the game in order to be unblocked from the door. The games which is also known as door game in Chinese culture.
After the door game, the bride will then leave her house and proceed to the groom's house with groom's companion to meet up with groom's parents for "Tea Ceremony". The wedding day ceremony ends with a feast which features elaborate Chinese wedding foods. |
