Our last few days in this sunny South Africa!

Good morning/afternoon/evening! (I don't know when you read this)

This is my last week in South Africa, but I don't want to leave this country at all!

Yesterday morning, in assembly, we had our 'goodbye-speech', and it went totally wrong! Mrs van Zyl, the headmistress, announced that we were leaving, but she did it the wrong way around. She said that I was Melissa's exchange partner and that Sasha was Tarryn's, though it is the other way around! Then we had to come up to the stage and say something in front of the whole school. I was quite nervous I must say!
Melissa and Tarryn started and they did something completely different than what they had prepared. Then it was our turn. We were saying so much random things! But everyone laughed about the jokes so that was good. At the end we offered Herschel a gift, a book about Rembrandt, and that went wrong aswell, because there was no one to accept it! There were quite some laughs then aswell, so we had fun on stage!

In the last few days the weather has changed a lot. Saturday it was quite alright, not extremely hot or something, but monday was perfect! The weather forecast said that it was going to be 40 C, but at half past four in the afternoon it was still 41.5 C, so it must've been much warmer than that. It was nice though, because it was dry heat. (For those who don't know, dry heat is much nicer than humid heat.)

It's almost time to say goodbye to everything and everyone, so before that, I'm going to enjoy all the time I have left here in South Africa!

Cheers!! (Many people say that when they leave)

Love, Leo
