The fifth week already!

Hay hay!

In this exchange the time is passing by so quickly! We're already halfway!
This week was quite a tough week for me (we had some problems but I won't bother you with that) so I don't really have much to write about.

Saturday we went to Cape Point. That is not the most southern tip of Africa but it has a beautiful view and the game park surrounding it is also fantastic. We climbed all the way up the mountain. When we arrived at the top I had expected that there was some sort of restaurant where you could relax before you would go down again, but there was nothing except for a light house. But it was fine, the view was amazing!

Sunday Melissa had invited me to come to lunch with her and her family. We went to Simon's. Simon's is a restaurant located at a wine estate: Groot Constantia. This was the first wine estate in South Africa and it is founded by Simon van der Stel, a Dutchman who came to South Africa in 1685. Today it is still a working wine farm, but it's also a tourist attraction. There are 3 restaurants and you can go there for wine tasting.

This is the house where Simon van der Stel lived. It was built in a Capetonian-Dutch style, though for me it's just Dutch! :D

Wednesday evening there was a swimming gala. No a swimming gala is not that you're going to swim in a ballroom dress! It's just a swimming competition between some schools here in Cape Town.
It was so much fun! All the time we sang songs which were so funny!

Baby shark too too too too too too too baby shark too... baby shark too... baby shark!

Mummy shark
too... mummy shark too... mummy shark too... mummy shark!

Daddy shark
too...daddy shark too...daddy shark too... daddy shark!

Granny shark
too... granny shark too... granny shark too... granny shark!

Person swim
too... person swim too... person swim too... person swim!

Shark attack
too... shark attack too... shark attack too... shark attack!

Lost an arm
too... lost an arm too... lost an arm too... lost an arm!

Lost a leg
too... lost a leg too... lost a leg too... lost a leg!

Life guard running
too... life guard running too... life guard running too... life guard running!

CPR
too... CPR too... CPR too... CPR!

Person died
too... person died too... person died too... person died!

Went to heaven
too... went to heaven too... went to heaven too... went to heaven!

Got refused
too... got refused too... got refused too... got refused!

Back to earth
too... back to earth too... back to earth too... back to earth!

And then all over again! :D

This was one song. We also had another one which I thought was extremely funny:

- Are you ready for your rollercoaster ride?!
- Yes!
- Five, four, three to one,
- AAAAH AAAAH AAAH       AAAAAAAAAH

(While doing that, you pretend with your arms up that you are in a rollercoaster, first normal, then bending to the left, then bending to the right, then you wait some seconds, and then normal again!)

We had so much fun doint this that we didn't really pay attention to the swimmers, but it was fine, we won anyway! :D

This was a bit what my week was about! This weekend we're going to do a lot of things so next week I can write a lot again!! (That is, if everything is going to happen as we planned it!)

Byee!!

Love, Leo
