Preparations
Before we are going to South-Africa we have to arrange quite some things here in the Netherlands. For instance, we needed a visa fist of all to enter the country. This was very difficult to get. We went to the South-African ambassy, there they gave us three forms we had to fill in. One of these forms said that we also needed a 'license of good behaviour'. This meant that we had to go to the city council and ask for one there, but we didn't have enough time to get that first and then fill in the forms for the visa so they said that if we could show that we've asked for a license of good behaviour it was good enough. We also need to bring our books, or at least copies of the pages we need otherwise our luggage will be too heavy. We have to keep up with our work and even do some tests while we're in South-Africa. Then of course the real packing starts. Clothes, but also other things we have to bring. We have to take almost everything we need here in Holland with us because it's for more than 2 months! I've now packed half of the things I want to bring, and it's already 12 kg!! Then I need my books wich are 7 kilos and 20 kg is the maximum! I think we'll have to put a very cute look on our faces and then everything will be fine!  |
