COMPOSITION: Japanese bone china.
PROBLEMS: Multiple breaks and bad repairs. Old man's head broken into at least two or possibly three pieces, with a chip out (a prior repair was done halfway decently there.) His left arm is also broken in two places, with the inner half of the broken middle piece missing entirely. Old woman is much more seriously damaged - about a dozen poorly reassembled pieces above the waist, with part of a hand missing, a large chunk behind shoulder missing, a couple of pieces of her head may also be missing, with some bad (black) paint touch ups and globs of glue to spare.
