Our Curriculum
Communications
The students will:
Explore reading in whole class, small group, and independant reading activities.

Use phonics knowledge to read one-syllable words.

Segment and blend phonemes of one-syllable words.

Recognize many common words that can't be sounded out with phonics
     such as have, said, where, and two.

Read and understand simple written instructions.

Participate in discussions of stories and short informational text.

Begin writing about personal experiences, stories, and information
     learned from books.
Students are encouraged to:
Use  concrete objects, including fingers,  in learning addition and subtraction skills.

Explore concepts such as addition, subtraction, facts to 10, place value,
time, money, fractions, measurement, problem solving, graphing and geometry.
Students will learn about:
Citizenshhip and Responsibility  - Character Education
