Lee Miller

Anthony Lee Miller was a police sergeant who died unexpectedly September 1997 at the age of 32 due to a ventriculatular fibrillation. During his time as a police officer Lee would collect money from fellow officers and friends to buy food and gifts at Thanksgiving and Christmas for disadvantaged children whom he came in contact during his patrols.

He loved children and the children naturally gravitated to him, also being an animal lover, we were told by his fellow officers about how he would stop at a convenience store and buy food for the stray cats. The cats knew the sound of his patrol car and when they heard his car pull up,they would come running from behind the store.

We created the Sergeant Anthony Lee Miller Memorial Fund in order to continue to benefit disadvantaged children at Christmas where the funds are provided to PAL for the children to shop with a cop for presents at Walmart. We also set up a college scholarship given at the annual Policemen's Ball as well as a Police Academy scholarship at BCC.

This is funded each year through the Sergeant Anthony Lee Miller Memorial Golf Tournament with hole sponsorships and participant donations. During the luncheon following the golf tournament, we raffle gifts and prizes that have been donated to raise additional funds.

If you would like to make a donation, sponsor a hole or donate anything for our raffle, please send an e-mail to us.

The flyer for this years golf tournament with sign up form and newsletter about last years tournament is on the link above.

The Golf Tournament is held on the first Saturday in April in honor of Lee's Birthday on April 1st. We want to thank our sponsors and players and to all that have helped make this possible these past years.
