July 21, 2003 - la la lalalala la lala la la

July 02, 2003 - Susan Banks has some beautiful panoramic, overlapping exposure images that she shot with a Holga (link found on photojunkie). Theres also an interesting site called the holgasmers. It has some interesting galleries and links. If you're a fan of the Holga (which I am), it's a nice site to look at (link from pixelsurgeon).

June 27, 2003 - I just saw the webiste for the The Clayton Brothers and I likes it alot. It's a pretty good site but the paintings are even better. Their list of links points to dozens of other sites just as interesting. In fact, one of the links pointed to Sympathy Records where I saw a link to The Come Ons and they have two free mp3s on their news sections. I had never heard them before and I was amazed. It's some rockin music that sounds like you could dance to it. I haven't really heard any rockish music that I thought people could dance to. It's also just good to listen to. I like music like that when I'm at work. Sitting in this dark room for eight hours can get to a person, so findin good music like this makes my day go a little faster. Plus, I get to move around alittle cause I start jammin to it with my earphones on and I end up bouncing up and down and almost dancing in my seat. I'm sure my co-workers must think I'm an idiot, but I'm sure they thought I was an idiot before, so I ain't sweatin it.

June 25, 2003 - Artcoup8 is up and it looks good. It's 20 photos of Havana, Cuba. Man, I would love to see Cuba. Shady Eddie tells me sometimes about how he used to go to Cuba before Americans weren't allowed. I think it was in the fities; I guess before Castro. I think maybe I want to go so bad becuase I know I can't. It's ridiculous that we should be deprived of contact and trade with Cuba and that they should be deprived of anything we have to offer. It's archaic Cold-War nonsense. I understand that there are a lot of anti-Castro Cuban refugees who want him out of there and lobby for the embargos to remain, but that the US probably wouldn't lift the embargos anyway becuase they'd be afraid of any ties he might have with China and North Korea; not to mention South Africa, Isreal, and what seemed to have been a very amicable relationship with the EU and Canada before the prtoest on the Spanish Embassy. Damn, that's a lot of power and credibility that our conservative government gives to an aging and accidental marxist island dictator. I'm pretty sure the US government will eventually find "terrorists" in Cuba and want to "inspect" the country knowing that Castro would probably refuse; so that they can go in with a military action and "bring democracy" to Cuba. It's a shame it has to be that way, but I don't see this administration (and probably the next one) consididering any other solution to secure their hemisphere as they build the biggest war machine they can buy.

June 24, 2003 - I forgot where I saw this link, but this site, apparently called Bruise is very nice. It's not graphical, it's all text with links to some very interesting images. I especially like the "hall of fame" project.

June 12, 2003 - It's always good to know how to do this.
