Wondrous Future
By Janus

I sit here,
Contemplating my future,
And thinking of,
How we never care how times passes.

One minute you are a student,
In high school of all things.
The next thing you know,
Youre in college,
Trying so hard to make something of yourself.

Another minute goes by,
And youre at home.
Helping your kids with homework,
And cooking dinner in the kitchen.

One minute after that,
Youre old and graying.
Watching your grandkids,
And spoiling them to death.

It seems there are only a few minutes to this life,
And they cant be put off,
Or saved for a rainy day.
They must be used to their fullest potential.

No one really knows,
Why most dont care how time passes,
Yet I see times despair and love,
Every single day Im here.

Our lives only last a few minutesw,
Yet no one cares that they pass so fast.
So I say to you and everyone else,
Live every minute as if it were your last.

Dont let those minutes slip from your fingers,
Fight to keep them as long as you can.
Never let anyone tell you youre to young,
To think youre getting old.

Love, and let these few minutes,
Fill you with joy,
So that youll know in the end,
That you lived life to the fullest and without regrets.
