Part 6
Chapter 2
"Never were the bounce back kind"
Leela looked over at the sink then out the window above it as she finished preparing dinner on the look out. The wind blew in the trees a few feet from the window. Outside, the twins were trying to find Lothen and Kiyoshi in a bizzar game of hide and seek.
Ma and Mi stud back to back, each with her right hand extended out infront of her. Small ki blasts formed on the tips of their fingers then took off around the look out. A small yelp announced Lothen's defeat, yet Kiyoshi remained. A few minutes later two small blasts hit Ma and Mi giving Kiyoshi the win.
"Hey... two out of three is good!" Lothen defended Kiyoshi when the twins started yelling about it not being fair.
"So what. He was lucky that's all." Meela crossed her arms in anger.
"Yeah, just lucky." Meeli pulled back her green stripped black hair into a ponytail and sat down.
"Come on, he did great for his first three times." Lothen gave his little brother a smile. Kiyoshi smiled back and flopped down next to Meeli.
"That's an understatement." Meeli laughed then got Kiyoshi in a head lock.
"Ow, come on Mi... let go." Kiyoshi laughed as Meeli began giving him a nuggy.
"Give me one good reason why I should." She laughed back. "Come on, give me a reason." Meela and Lothen looked at each other then at the other two. Meeli fell ontop of Kiyoshi and started tickling him.
"Dog-pile!" Lothen yelled then fell ontop of Meeli and Kiyoshi. Meela laughed and followed the example. A few minutes later they fell apart, gasping for breath but still laughing.
Leela smiled and put the ramon in bowls. She let her ponytail fall slightly onto her shoulder, hiding her face from anyone outside the window. When she looked up again the Majins were watchign her from their spot outside the window. Leela stepped back in surprise then went to the door adjacent the window and meet them outside.
"Konnichiwa Kit." The greeting from Koshi was deffinately not pleasent. Her name was now back to her childhood nick-name. It unnerved her slightly, but she held her face expressionless.
"Konnichiwa Koshi-sama... ladies." She gave a stiff bow to Koshi then did the same to the other majins. "Is something wrong?" She turned back to Koshi and crossed her arms.
"We would like to know why you didn't inform us that you were attempting to save the three chibis." Koshi replied cooly.
"We thought you were going to call us so that we could have a little revenge as well." Mameko's voice was almost chilling. Leela looked around and saw the children watching. Kiyoshi, not wanting anything to happen, ran to her and put his arms around her leg in a death grip.
"Gomen-nasi... everything happened in seconds so I didn't have time to think." Leela picked up Kiyoshi and held him tight to her. He put his arms around her neck and laced his fingers together. Leela's anger flared slightly, but the warmth of Kiyoshi's body against hers keep her from blowing up. 'Its ok Ki... nothing is going to happen.' She sent him a mental message to calm him a bit.
"How goes their trainning?" Koshi asked with crossed arms.
"Why do you keep asking about MY children? Their trainning is going fine, and will only get better." There was a long hiss from the full blooded saiya-jin Mameko.
"We keep asking because we don't want weaklings in out group. You may want to hold your tounge, we onlyh keep you because your a smart girl." She paused and looked around. "We protect our own, and in protecting we want the protectee to become strong enought to protect themselfs and the rest of the group. It's a great big circle Leela, which includes your children."
"Look at her eyes..." A whisper floated up to Leela's ears as Koshi spoke. She couldn't tell who it was, but it seemed to be coming from Ka.
"Why does it include them? They're just children." Leela asked with a pleading tone to her voice.
"They have the mark, like your's, only given with love. So it makes theirs powerfull... love is a vary powerful and dangerous thing. Your love and their being so young makes them vulnerable though. Lothen on the other hand-and Kiyoshi to, were born with it and so it's even stronger still." Koshi's answer was almost matter-of-factly said but still had some smugness to it.
"So what, they're only children, and mine as well." Lotanks came out behind Leela and stared at his younger sister.
"Really Lotanks? I count only three that are of our blood." She sneered. Lotanks put an arm around Leela protectively.
"Kiyoshi may not be of my loins but he IS part of this family. It doesn't matter if he's Sin's son, he's Leela's most of all." His statement hit hard on the ears of Kiyoshi and the watchers. Kiyoshi loosened his fingers then put them around Lotanks' neck. Lotanks took him and held him across his chest so Kiyoshi could put his head on his shoulder. It was almost deafinning when no one spoke. Koshi's smirk widened causing Leela and Lotanks to raise an eyebrow.
"Your all pathetic, if you weren't Majins I would of killed you long before now." Koshi turned away from Leela and Lotanks slightly, and looked back at the other Majins.
"What does she mean Majin?" Lotanks turned to Leela and frowned.
"This...." She pointed to the M on her forehead then looked down.
"That doesn't change anything... do you hear me Leela? It doesn't change a single thing." He replied softly and lifted her chin.
"That's a vary different reaction then Goten had when he found out that Leela was one... your a strange one Lotanks." Koshi laughed mockingly. In the background Leela could see Muzai crouched and talking to the twins and Lothen. Muzai looked over at her, a smirk on her face, then got back into place. Leela went through the Majins to her children and kneeled before them.
"What did Obasan Muzai just say to you?" She looked at each one, but they wouldn't look at her. "Answer me!" SHe shook Lothen and Meeli to try to get a response. They looked at her finally, but the scared look in their eyes made her gasp.
"Is it true... you like to hurt people?" Lothen finally spoke for all three of them.
"Iie, iie sweaty... zettai." She took him into her arms and cryed, not believing that they would believe such a thing. After a minute, she got up and took the hands of Lothen and Meeli, while Meela ran over to Lotanks.
"Zettai yurusenai... any of you! For trying to hurt my children like this, or any other way you plan to cook up." She hissed and barly opened her teeth enough to say the words.
"So be it, but remember this. The only way out of this club is by death, and don't foreget that we gave you the mark and we can easily take it back." The threat was issued, yet Leela still stared at them with contempt. The Majins turned to leavae. They walked across the expanse of the look out then created the portal. Koshi stopped before stepping in and turned to Leela one more time.
"Oh... one more thing. We arn't letting you go so easily as all this. We let Leeli go far to easily, but you we are not going to make the same mistake with." With that said they all stepped through the portal and disappeared.
"They're right... they wont let me go." Leela's voice almost cracked but she held it in check. "I just want a normal life for once..." She let a couple of tears fall, but whipped them away and turned to follow Lotanks.
"We can't always get what we want Leela-san." Leela turned quickly in surprise and saw Nickon stridding toward her. "You of all people should know that." He gave her a serious look then turned to Lotanks. "Ojisama" He gave a small bow then smiled at Kiyoshi.
"There's my boy" He put his arms out to take him. Kiyoshi, looking tired now, went to him.
"Ojisan Nickon.. what's a Majin?" He asked and looked at Nickon witha weiry expression.
"Well... they're supposed to be bad people, but not all are bad." He paused to concider his next words. "Like your Obasan Leeli and your Okaasan." He smiled and let him down. Lothen, who had been quiet, took Leela's hand and held it tight.
'Thanks Nickon...' Leela sent him a mental message, but still looked upset. Lothen let go of her hand and went to Lotanks who now had Meela in his arms. Lotanks smiled down at him then turned and started talking to Nickon. Lothen sat down and leaned against his father's legs. Leela sat down against the wall, and looked at the cloudless sky above. Meeli sat down in Leela's lap and fell asleep against her chest. Leela smiled and closed her eyes then slipped into nod with Mi.
