Part 3

Chapter 3

"Stronger then Yesterday."

"Is she.....one of them? I mean she feels like them." Goten asked as he dried the dishes and watched Leela on the porch. Leela sat with her head in her hands as she watched the children play.

"Hai, she's a majin.....but she's changed......she's.... different...." Leeli frowned and started watching her sister. Leela sneezed and rubbed her nose.

"TAG!' Kim tagged Destiny and ran.

"Des is it!" Kiyoshi ran just as Destiny reached out to tag him.

"I'm gonna get you Ki!" She laughed and went after Chris. Leela laughed as she watched them.

"Kin over here!" Chris yelled to Kin and ran behind a bush. Kin ran full out and slid behind the bush. Destiny smirked and changed direction just as Kiyoshi ran behind her.

"TAG YOUR IT!" She laughed and ran off. Kin and Chris got up and ran. Kiyoshi ran after them and tagged Kin.

"Ut oh..." Leela smiled, knowing Kin was a lot faster then he looked.

"Ow! Your mean Ki!" Kin got up from the ground and ran after him.

"Play nice or we wont play 'Mission Impossible' next time we come over!" Leela warned after seeing Kiyoshi knock Kin down when they were playing.

'Meela and Meeli never fought with each other at their age..." She whispered to herself with a sigh. Two sets of twins was just asking for trouble. The two three year old's continued to chase each other until Kin finally tagged Kiyoshi and hid up a tree. Kiyoshi went around the house and tagged Chris. Leela watched them play with a small smile, then looked around when she noticed Kim wasn't in sight. Her heart started to race as she searched with her eyes and stud up. Just when she was about to go look for her, she and Kin jumped out of the tree and ran.

"Hey you guys, lets play hide-n'-seek..tag is getting kinda boring now." Destiny stated and sat down on the cool green grass.

"Ok" The others agreed. Leela sat back down with a hand over her heart. Fear seemed be around every corner these days, or at least to Leela it was.

After an hour of hide-n'-go-seek the children came to the porch and sat down.

"I think it's nap time." Leela stated with a smile. The children protested. "I don't want to hear it from you three." She gave her three a critical look and stud up. "As for you two, it's up to you if you want a nap since your older." She looked at Kim and Chris.

"We'll take a nap, Basama Leela." Chris stud up and lead the others to the bed room. Kiyoshi stayed behind and held up his hands to his mother. Leela picked him up, Kiyoshi clung to her neck.

"It's ok Ki." She rubbed his back to sooth the boy. She sat back down and held him tight. "Come on, I'll lay with you until you fall asleep, ok Ki?" He nodded and lessened his grip on her neck. Leela got up and walked in with Kiyoshi in one arm. Leeli came into the kitchen just as the back door shut.

"The kids are set up in Chris' room." Leeli said and smiled slightly.

"Doumo Ane." She smiled back and went to the indicated room. When she got there all the kids were asleep. She sat down and laid Kiyoshi on the extra mat. Leela switched his soiled short sleeved t-shirt to a light blue tank-top. His arm-band glittered in the light from the bedroom window.

"Hush now, my baby. Be still love, don't cry. The noises you heard were all in your head, they like to come out when your dream..." She sang a slow, sad melody softly and cradled the small boy in her arms. The words came out as soft as a butterfly's wing. "So sleep now my baby. No tears love, tonight. No monster or beast in your closet or bed. They only come out when you dream...." With the last words she laid the sleeping Kiyoshi down and brought the blanket up under his chin.

"You always did seem to have a nack with kids." Goten stud leaning on the door frame, his arms crossed as he watched. Leela turned to look at him.

"I.....never really noticed." Leela replied and looked at the sleeping children. She smiled and planted a kiss on Kiyoshi's forehead. A moment later she got up and walked to the door.

"Children are our past, present and future." She gave a small smile.

"Did you make that up yourself?" Goten teased.

"It sorta.....just came to me." She laughed along with him. They went into the kitchen to start lunch.

An hour and a half later everyone went to the door.

"Doumo arigatou gozaimou." Leela smiled with a bow.

"Ganbatte kudasai, Imoto." Leeli hugged her then stepped back with a smile.

"Ja ne, Kit" Goten smiled and put his arm around Leeli's waist.

"Ja ne, Ani." She waved and threw a capsule. The hover car appeared with a boom and a cloud of smoke. Just before she was out of sight of the house she waved to everyone once more and flew off to the lookout. It was past three when she saw the column that lead up to Korin's tower.

"Kaasan? Where are we going?" Kiyoshi asked from the back seat.

"To see my Okaasan and Otousan." She smiled and looked in the rear-view mirror at her young son.

"How many grandparents do we have?" Destiny's wide eyes stared at her. Leela had to laugh. The children stared at her.

"Well Bulma-san and Vegeta-Oujisama from your Otousan's dimension. Bulma-san, in a way, in this dimension and my parents Kana-san and Piccalo-kun." She remembered the way her mother had been the last time she had ben home, then thought of her father. 'Tousan will be a new experience for them. They haven't seen or even know what a Namekian is.' She though as she stopped the car and pushed the capsule button. They flew up into the clouds then past them. As they past Korin's he watched them go by and tried to think of who they were. He scratched his head, shrugged and went back to watering.

Without a noise the quartet landed on the lookout. From tip toes to flat, their feet stepped onto the white marble tiled 'floor' of Kame's lookout, or as some people now called it 'Dende's lookout'. Leela looked around the place and noticed two figures coming towards them.

"Welcome home Leela-san!" Dende smiled as he came up to them. "Are these three yours?" he asked after giving her a hug.

"Hai Dende-sama." She laughed and put a hand on both son's heads. "Kiyoshi, Kin and Destiny." she introduced them. Kin looked up at her.

"Kaasan, you know god?!" All three older people laughed.

"Hai Kin-san! Your Okaasan is like my Imoto, we have known each other since she was born." He bent down to look at the boy. Kin put a thumb in his mouth and hid behind Leela. She raised an eyebrow at him as Dende stud up.

"What's wrong Kin-san?" She bent down and picked him up. He pointed toward Dende, but not at him. Leela looked in that direction and saw a figure in the door way. His white cap whirled in the wind.

"Hello Tousan." She said quietly and bowed her head. He gave a small nod of the head and walked back inside. She sighed and turned to Dende and Popo. She put Kin down next to Ki and Des.

"Suimasen." She bowed and fallowed Piccalo. A minute later she came upon her mothers room. As always the T.V. was on, she was watching a game similar to 'Wheel of Fortune'. Her mother laughed as one o the people got the answer wrong.

"Stupid Baka." Kana sneered with a smirk. Leela walked in and sat down next to her. Kana either didn't notice her or ignored her, Leela couldn't tell which. After a few minutes she got back up, gave her a kiss on the cheek and went to the door. Just before leaving she turned.

"Kimi wo aishiteru Kaasan." She declared with teary eyes and went outside. They stayed and talked to Dende for a little while before leaving again. With one last hug to Dende and Mr. Popo they were on the road again. Leela sighed as she watched some birds fly y the car.

"Kaasan? May we go to a park?" Destiny asked with a big smile.

"Not today sweety, I'll take you tomorrow ok?" She kept her eyes on the road but reached over and ruffled her hair.

"Promise?" Destiny's voice was full of hope.

"Hai." She laughed. They road in silence the rest of the way home. When they reached the mountain that held Leela's hidden home, the children had already fallen asleep. Leela smiled and picked up the sleeping twins and woke Destiny.

"We're here sweetheart." She shook the little girl lightly. She yawned and slipped quietly out of the car. They were almost back to where they first arrived.

"Can you push the button for me Des-chan?"

Nani?" Destiny rubbed the sleep from her eyes as Leela repeated the question with a small laugh.

"Hai.' She pushed the button and put the capsule into her mother's pocket.

"Doumo, Des-chan." She smiled and flew up to the entrance door. She stud staring at it as Destiny landed behind her.

'Shimatta........I've forgotten the entrance code.' She though as she landed on the small entrance terrace. Destiny sat down and started to nod off to sleep when Leela remembered the code.

"Wari wari, Des-chan. Come on lets go inside." She smiled and helped her up while still holding the twins. She went in and quickly put in the other code to her house. Destiny went to the couch and sat down. Leela went into the bedroom and laid down the two sleeping boys on the bed. When she came back, Destiny was fast asleep. She sat down and looked at the sleeping girl.

"Sleep well Destiny." She picked her up and took her into the bedroom. She laid her next to her brothers then went back into the livingroom and fell asleep on the couch.

The next morning Leela woke up with words from a nightmare still running through her mind. She held her head in her hands when she noticed it was around 6:47 in the morning. Leela had just leaned her head on the back of the couch when the phone rang. She sighed deeply and went to the vid-phone.

"Moshi-moshi." The face of Bulma came onto the screen.

"Ohayo, Leela-san." Bulma smiled.

"You to Bulma-san. How are you?" She smiled back.

"Genki desu, doumo." Bulma laughed. "Good-day to go to the park, ne?" She said as if commenting on the weather.

"Can you read minds Bulma-san?" Leela laughed as she started making coffee.

"Ie, Leela, you should know that better then anyone." Bulma smiled.

"Ano.....Bulma-san do you think you could watch the little-ones today after we get back from the park?" Leela turned to look at her second mother.

"Hai, but what for?" Bulma leaned foreword a little and rested her chin on her folded hands.

"Well I need to find a job." She rubbed the back of her head nervously and gave a small laugh. "I'm kinda broke at the moment." She turned to the cabinet and pulled out some vary old 'Cornflakes'.

"Shimatta....." She whispered, " I knew I forgot something..." A sweat drop appeared over her head. Bulma gave a big belly laugh, Leela's face went red with embarrassment.

"Why don't you come over to my house for breakfast. I've got plenty to go around." Bulma smiled after she stopped laughing.

"Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, Bulma-san!" Leela beamed.

"Douitasimashite, Leela-san. Ja ne." Bulma waved and clicked off the vid. Leela drank her coffee quickly then unpacked their bags in a flurry. At eight-thirty she went into the bedroom and woke up the still sleeping kids. Leela pulled out two pairs of overalls an overall pair of shorts outfit for Destiny and white t-shirts for each of them.

A couple hours later the little group could be seen at the nearest park. The sounds of children laughing filled the warm summer air. Leela watched them run up and down the steps of the slides. Sometimes she would watch as all three went down the slide together. She smiled as she watched them let another kid go before them. The playground area was full of children having fun. The trees lent shade to the parents watching their young, and flowers were giving off a beautiful aroma now that they were in full bloom.

Leela watched Destiny, who had decided to have her hair short and got it cut by Bulma earlier that morning, run down and hide under a slide. Soon they were playing tag on the playground. Destiny's now shoulder length, totally straight hair, no longer got in her face. Bulma had given each of them a vest with the capsule logo on the front pocket, which they were wearing at the moment. Destiny's was red, Kiyoshi's was black and Kin's was a navy blue. Destiny had chosen red to match the little red daisies on the hems and pockets of her overall shorts.

"Itoto! Chotto matte kudasai!" Destiny yelled as they ran to hide from the kid that was 'it'. She fell down then pushed herself up to her knees.

"Time to go Des, Ki, Kin!" Leela stud up and waited till all three were with her. Destiny looked ready to cry. Leela picked her up and lead the other two away to the car.

"Ki, you need to say sorry to your sister. That wasn't vary nice."

"De....Demo." Kiyoshi couldn't say anything else before Leela interrupted.

"Ie demo!" Leela put Destiny in the front seat and kneeled in front of her young son. "Kiyoshi would you like it if you were chasing after Destiny, asked her to wait up but she doesn't because you didn't wait for her?" She said calmly and help up his face with her forefinger.

"Ie..." His voice came out shaky.

"I'm sorry for yelling Ki, but you three are all I got left and I want you to work together as a team." She took him into her arms and both cried a moment or two before Leela broke away and put him in the back seat.

"Wari wari, Ane." Kiyoshi said as he leaned foreword into the front seat and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Leela smiled and buckled Kin into the back seat.

"Now was that so hard Kin-san?" Leela got into the drivers seat and turned to look at him.

"Ie." He laughed.

"Now my young son, do not, I repeat do not laugh." she spoke in a mafia, godfather type voice causing all three kids to give big belly laughs.

"What did I say?" Leela frowned and looked at them. She turned and started driving back to Capsule Corp. House. They repeated what she said and tried to imitate her voice.

"Ie...did I really?" All four were laughing the whole way back to Capsule Corp. House.

"Are you sure that you want that job?" Bulma stud aside as the kids went inside. Touching each one's shoulder as they did so.

"Hai, Goten even said I was good with kids. So I think it wont be too much of a problem." She smiled and gave Bulma a quick hug. "Are you sure that they wont be a problem?" She looked past her to the kids.

"Oh you! Get going! I can handle them." Leela turned and Bulma playfully kicked the air behind her as she raced down the stairs.

"You're the best Bulma-san" She laughed jumped into the over car and put her sunglasses on.

"And don't you forget it!" Bulma laughed as Leela whizzed down the street.
