The above link contains a video of Abortion protesters being asked what the penalty for having an abortion should be if abortion were made legal. Not a single interviewee had an answer that made any goddamn sense at all in legal terms. Most of them said there should be no penalty at all, as though a law carrying no threat of punishment would be widely respected. These people aren't interested in making political sense or operating within the framework of a government that guarantees the right to disagree with right-wing shitheads; they're interesting in legislating their bullshit morality. They're interested in forcing America to think the way they do because it's what their stupid fucking club says is right. I'm not saying they don't have a right to express their quarter-baked opinions, I'm just saying that they're fascist assclowns, and you shouldn't be swayed.
The Christian Church is so unbelievably good at what it does. It uses a text that can literally be interpreted to mean anything anybody wants it to (check this out- anal sex and god's will?), and uses it to hand down moral law after moral law that it suggests its followers impose on the entire world. How badly did Christian missionaries fuck the world up? They STILL go to foreign countries and force residents to abandon their cultures in favor of a boring-ass, unfulfilling, guilt-ridden Christian existence.
The influenece of the Christian Church is so widespread that it has managed to disguise its stupid fucking 'moral' agenda as 'common sense.' First of all, there's the word 'moral.' What the fuck are 'morals?' Really? In what context are morals EVER discussed? The answer I came up with is that a 'moral' person, in our language and culture, is someone that follows every last tenant of Christian ideology. A MORAL person doesn't have consensual sex with effective protection with multiple partners. A MORAL person doesn't ever have abortions. When you think of a typical 'morally upright person,' is he/she gay? Probably not. The word 'moral' is Christian codeword for 'acceptable by arbitrary and BULLSHIT FASCIST STANDARDS.'
The Bush Administration gave federal funding only to schools that taught abstinence-only sex ed. (Fortunately, 11 states turned down the funding in order to put together their own curriculum.) Abstinence-only education has been PROVEN in more than 30 INDEPENDENT STUDIES to lead to higher unwanted pregnancy rates, higher STD rates, and higher rates of depression than reasonable sex ed programs. The only time an abstinence only education program is allowed to talk about contraception is when they discuss failure rates. ABSTINENCE-ONLY EDUCATION IS LEGISLATED CHRISTIAN MORALITY. YOU CANNOT FORCE PEOPLE BY LAW TO BUY INTO YOUR STUPID RELIGION, AND YOU FUCK LIVES UP BY TRYING.
If a female has the HIV virus and has unprotected sex with a male who does not have the virus, the odds the man will contract HIV are 1 in 2000. You'd be able to look that up on the CDC's website if the Bush Administration HADN'T FUCKING REMOVED THAT INFORMATION IN 2003.

Just so there's no confusion, I realize that not all followers of the Christian faith are committed to spreading their beliefs worldwide. I realize that those who speak the loudest are the problem, though they do not speak for everyone. But maybe those at odds with the fascist aspect of Christianity should consider joining a new club, one with fewer assholes fucking up America. And, of course, just because the Christian Church is full of dickwipes does not necessarily mean there is no God.
