Today was and still is  a great day - full therapy - with upper weight training - Lee said he was very sore - and I agree as anyone without a brain injury would be tired or shall I say someone my age (as they remind me daily) - breakfast was a breeze - I had meetings until 11:00am ran back to the apt fixed lunch for you (dad ate here) a large salad with ham, turkey and cheese, a slice of  pizza and a honey bun - you were very glad to see us as all you could do was rub your tummy saying and pointing "hungry" - lunch was great - after lunch  we came back to the apt and cleaned, washed and getting everything ready for tomorrow - and yes we are going to the hospital at 5:30am  - Thursday July 27  for a craineotomy (replacing the bone plate - he has kept it alive in his stomach) - you are so glad to get this over with and everyone at therapy believes you will progress faster with this behind you - being your mom I know  you will be glad for this to be over - NOW - prayers from everywhere - please remember us - we will be at Piedmont in ICU - not sure but hope just for tomorrow and then in a room on Friday - I am so overwhelmed I have to take time and just thank God and be alone - paper work, paper work - forms, forms - questions, questions - everything is good - just to much for one "old lady" to consume - sometimes I feel as though I have filled out the same paper 10 times - but with an injury as bad as yours this is another step that only I can take and do - as I am not sure your dad even knows the year you were born - dads are like that - and that is ok with us - especially ours - to see  the two of you singing and smiling it is worth a million stars, dollars and smiles to me - I can not wait until you, Jay and dad are together and me on the side lines looking in on the three of you - that is my dream - got to finish packing - get all PAPER work together, medicine - and I guess the kitchen sink -  we are and have been on the go more in the last 2 months than we have in the last 30 yrs - but this is ok as everyone and God is behind us and only good is coming from this experience -  I feel it in my heart and this keeps me going - so keep the prayers coming we feel them and need them each and every day - THANKS  TIFTON - no words can ever say what is in our hearts and souls - and friends and family -- love is not a word big enough - so just say a prayer that Lee's speech will return faster and faster - as not being able to communicate to so very tough - so now maybe everyone will know just how excited I was to see him "draw" a pizza - little by little  - Lee is inside and he has to come out - as you see he has a story to tell and  finish  . . love mom
