Lee's Road to Recovery
Entry for Monday July 24, 2006
Today started very bad - you cried and cried did not want to go to therapy- everyone was expecting you to have had surgery last Thursday - and you just did not want to see anyone - at least time was on our side as you did not have to be there until 10:00am and this was good - I fixed waffles and sausage and no meat did you want any part of  - I had a meeting and left just in time to run back and get you lunch - then back to Pathways everyone was very pleased with your progress today and just bragged and bragged - you try so very hard and hopefully was can get your head fixed this week - with you not having to wear the helmet it will be so much easier and no where near as hot - everyone calls from Alabama to Dublin - it is so hard to be away from familiar surroundings and home is where everyone wants to be - we must climb this ladder and accomplish this and then we will tackle all our obstacles when we get home - to anyone that wishes to call Lee - please do so - he has his phone after 4:30 and a few times he has called friends but not often - yes/no questions are the best as sometimes he tries to say everything and then here comes the "greek" - we play music each and everyday - this relaxes you very well - I may have to turn it on several times  at first you do not want this  and then you give in - I had must rather hear you singing greek words then I had you father says different words, as he has new lyrics for all music - we just laugh - I do wish I new songs better than I do as I can not find some of the "tunes" you are asking for - we going to go to the doctor Tues and get things going for surgery even though I have just gotten a phone call and now we are back to "out of network" - you are very upset as this has been a roller coaster ride - I do not understand all this and I have no bump on my head - so how can I expect you to understand - do no give up Lee this will be done even if we have to pack up and go back to Macon - going through therapy here and seeing  Dr. Clair from day one at Shepherd's and this would just make so much more sense - he could see you through therapy - supper was good and you ate and were a little happier - just I could tell not all smiles  and I promised I would be at our case worker's office when you go the therapy at 9:00 am and see what more I can do to get this going again  - sleep tight Lee - God loves you. . love mom
