We all run out the door as we did when you and your brother were in school all running trying to get everywhere on time - this is good - it brings back the time I had to fix lunches at the last minute for both of you and Jay grabs my shoes and out we went - I was working for an attorney - and almost lunch time - I'm wiggling my feet - been everywhere- court house, city hall - all over the office with clients - and I look down and have on 2 different shoes - I wondered why you both laughed all the way to school  - well I reminded you both at supper - pay backs are h---,  no one in the office even noticed it but when I showed them all laughed - all afternoon - lesson learned - so you see things like this is how I deal with life day after day - life is a ladder and we must step on every step to get to the top and back down - so I know now we are on our way back to the top. . today was a bad set back - 25 miles across town to the doctors office - only to find out that no surgery for Thursday - BCBS is renegotiating contracts w/Piedmont Hospital - so now they are "out of network" - you were every upset on the ride home - not talking - but the look of misunderstanding, not being able to explain and if we chose to go ahead it would cost $45,000.00 - well with what it is costing per day - there is no way - you are very upset - but - dad fixed some mashed potatoes - and as I am fixing my plate - I lick the spoon - and nearly gag - I say something and of course you say blah, blah, blah - well just wait - a few minutes later - "what is this" and the worst face I have ever seen - dad is not up to change - these were plain - no salt, milk, butter - just boiled "starch" - not like the "loaded" kind that just takes water m-  we all laugh but dad eats his I am glad as they could only be used as filler in something just not in our stomachs. . another good night as "sunshine" calls as well as several other friends - this is good.. I hope your up beat continues  as well as your smiles. . . love mom
