The big "50" - we have to be at therapy at 9:00 am and all working out of one bathroom is very difficult - but we can make it - and a morning bath you must have - off to therapy traffic never ends in Atlanta - I do not like to get out  but I have figured how to go 4 lanes, 6 red lights to the grocery store - we get in a meeting and the lady says (filing out papers) and today's date is 18th - Dad looks up and says happy birthday - well he said no one's mind in "fully" functioning by 10:00am in the morning . . we finish our class but to late to go to the store -  when we pick you up you are hungry - just down the road is a small mall (about the size of Tifton's) and they have a food court in there - we wheel you in  and go by several places and then your eyes light up "MR WOK" - so we just got a little of it all - even dad gets a plate there - as usual you are still for dad today - then as we are getting out of the car my arms loaded with food - I hear dad say "birthday, birthday" and as you come rolling past smiling humming "Happy Birthday To You"  well I was very glad to sunglasses on  as it is always hard to explain tears  from me and dad - your tears to you are ok - but not for us - you always think you have done something wrong - everyone called and I was so glad no one sent me "dead flowers" or black ribbons - as I really could not imagine it being funny today - Tifton - I could not have had a better birthday anywhere in the world that was any better hearing you hum - the words will come - I promise - this is what I say and will continue to say and pray for each and every day -  I you are a miracle and God has work for you to do - and we see this work being done through you and your smiles each and every day - be proud Lee - we will all be home soon and Tifton has open arms waiting - we are going to have to have a "flag" system - I guess I will find someone who can make us a "Nascar" flagging system - white, red, yellow, green and the checkered flag - this can be done and I look every time I go past a "home decorating" store but this will happen to - today you and I talked about us having a goal  and  that being going up our steps to the house (this is also Pathways goal) - and we want to have this accomplished by August 11th - giving a week due to surgery  so that we can celebrate Granny's 90th birthday - - this is our secret - we are going home -. . sunshine( you can say sunshine but not Lauren) calls again tonight as well as Liz - you are all smiles. . . this is what I thank God for each and everyday - just your smile and new beginning. . . love mom
