Today was a very good day - your appetite was unbelievable - we were called as soon as you finished therapy - Sara said you were very "vocale" today and we could come on - you ate country fried steak, broccoli,  and was still hungry - after 30 minutes - we figured out you wanted a chicken sandwich with cheese, ff and a drink - dad  left and came back - it was so good you ate all the sandwich and a few ff - then noticed the empty bag - and wanted to know where "your red thing was" - dad said he did not get you a happy meal - no toy - not what you wanted to hear - to this day you believe that dad ate your chicken sandwich - we all still laugh - but you still say you did not eat it - then we found out that you have "staff" infection - not systematic - which all say is good - but not to mom - they gave you an iv and you had a reaction - they called it "red neck" syndrom - of which you just laughed - I did not - this will delay your release to "Pathways" a week - but I can live with that - you were in a very good mood - just very hungry - I can live with that too - every now and then you would look at dad and "ask was it good" - we all would just laugh - even you - when supper came and you were not very hungry - I told you that you had eaten a chicken sandwich - and of course you said no way - but that you just did not like the cheese burger from the hospital - anyway - you drank your tea - ate a couple of bites and a few fries - and of course all your salad - just kept "frowning" at dad during supper - you would frown and then smile - as though it were a "family joke" - is it or do you really, really believe dad ate that sandwich - as sometimes I really can not tell if you are playing with me.. . very ready to go home . .asking when and how long, with the infection I am afraid to say anything - as no one really knows now - because you still must have the surgery before going to Pathways - sleep good  - mom loves you - see you early tomorrow -. . love mom
