Entry for Thursday June 22, 2006
Got so much to do - if it were not for the "great" friends we have in Tifton there is no way I could survive - however I realize that I will never be able to continue working 14 hrs aday - now it is my turn to "stop and smell the roses", - Dad is moving to our final apt - and I am "on the road again" - did not have time to get someone to help me copy your CD's on the Ipod - but all we have is time - can not wait to see you - as Dad told me today when he arrived last night you were sitting by the door - held up your left arm "like Popeye" and just smiled - you see Lee you are suffering for someone that could not - as you are very strong willed and your heart is bigger than all of Tift County - you showed that while in CA - coaching softball - when you gave the team tickets to a "real" ball game - you have always been a giving person - you may not have something - but you made sure your friends did - walk in your room - "hey mom" this is a good thing - it makes me see stars and of course those pearly whites - you give me a hug that will last a life time - I can tell you missed me - and you say you did come back - this is dumb I will always be here - my heart will always stay with you, dad and Jay and you just laugh and roll your eyes - eat a few bites of supper and can not wait to go see Brad - you are a sport "talking" to Brad - and everyone laughs - including you - some words we know and some we don't but to see smiles on both your faces - that is more than winning the lottery.. you are tired and we go back - you ask "Brad OK" and we say yes he is just as big a fighter as you - and you knod "yes" - so now you both must fight each and every day - and you just smile - a big, big smile --- tell you good night - and you ask - what time will we back - 4:00 - get a big hug and I kiss you good night - you smile - mom
