Every mother's nightmare - hospital on phone - They have you there for auto wreck - Donnie and Ann drive me to hospital - The rest of the night is a blur - Dad arrives @2:00 am - Brandon Cravey will never be forgotten - we all love his hats and blazers - keeps converstions going 4:15 am Dad and I leave the house for Macon - no five words said - Bags packed - Dad brings your jeans, shirt, shorts and boots. 6:30 - Trauma Unit - Emergency Room - Medical Center of Central GA -- Macon - Lee is being prepared for surgery - talk w/Dr. Troupe -neurosurgeon 7:22 - surgery begins Later in the morning Dr. Troups comes out - goes to conference room- He removed part of your skull cap - placed it just under the skin so that it will remain alive and later they can replace it when the swelling goes down - Dad says "Lee will be fine", he is stong and he is a fighter - Dr. Troups says you condition is "Grave" - Chaplain is called in to talk with us NICU - You have a few stiches in your left elbow - Dr Troupe is talking - a lot I do not hear - ICP pressures to high - got to go down - It is still very "Grave" - 6:30pm - Back in conference room - it needs windows - Dr Troupe is talking - he has not had a good out come with patients ICP this high - You see Lee you are fighting - as mom nows in my heart - YOU have a story to tell - God is here and peace is around 8:00 NICU lets all the boy in to talk to you - they all are better seeing you 10:00 Mom and Dad leave for motel - it really takes a long time for the sun to come up - Jay stays in the waiting room- he has to see you all night 2006-05-26 15:52:47 GMT
