Amanda King's boyfriend didn't want to leave his car out in the rain and so he asked her to take him to the train station. That was the act that changed her life.
It was there that she met him.
She was just walking back to her car when suddenly he came out of nowhere, whirling her around in the opposite direction. He was pleading for her help. She wanted nothing to do with him or the situation. He looked so out of place here dressed as a waiter, beside the business suits and tourists. No she wouldn't help him.
But there was something about him. Was it his hazel eyes, full of pleading? Or his voice, shaking with desperation?
