(i am not looking to pick a fight with this song. not with anyone who is pro-life or pro-choice. this is a song about a time in my brother's life that wasn't the greatest, that was quite hard on him emotionally and mentally. he was in an abusive relationship-- abusive on both parts, he and the girl-- and it was a strenuous time. this song is for everyone who has been in a harmful relationship, everyone who has had to endure abuse, at whatever level be it emotional, physical, or mental. guys are guilty of doing it. girls are guilty of doing it. there is no finger pointing at one gender here, because both can have a hand in it just as much as the other. the reference to jack lord is a reference to hawaii five-o, a tv show in which jack lord starred. the trouble between my brother and his girlfriend followed them there, to hawaii.)
