The Firm

22nd May 1985 / Wembley Arena / London

This was Jimmy's first band after the demise of Zep. I remember The arena being half full and feeling a bit down by this. I think they should have played somewhere smaller like Hammy Odeon, it also didnt help that Wembley Arena is just a crap place to see anybody.

It was good to see Jimmy live for the first time, and the band were good live even if their albums were average. I remember being mesmorised by jimmy's violin bow/laser section.

(NB) I think Jimmy Page's best work on an album since Zeppelin has to be with David Coverdale in the early 90's. It was a shame they only did a few gigs in Japan.

Jimmy Page

25th November 1988 / Hammersmith Odeon / London

This goes down to one of my favorite concerts. I was near the back but as the place is small you could see well. The singer didnt sing the lyrics to Stairway to Heaven, so we all sang it anyway and that was great. He played "In My time of dying", bits of "Over the Hills and Far away" and all the Zep classics, it was great to be there and see him play well. Great guitarist ,great songs, great venue and a great night.
