This year I broke my ribs two days before the festival(but thats another story). AC/DC had the drummer Chris Slade in their ranks who had been in the band The firm in the 80's with Jimmy page and Paul Rogers.
All the bands were strong and I enjoyed every set(Metallica especially). AC/DC played well going through their repertoire of three chord songs and were worthy of headlining for the 3rd time. It was great to hear lots of songs from the classic "Back in Black" album (the first album that I ever bought way back in 1980). The ending to "For those about to Rock" is gteat with the cannons going off (The 1812 oveture of rock).I don't know if any of you used to go', but the nutters always found me out when the headline band were on. I found that if you acted strange back to them they would freak and move and let you enjoy the rest of the show.
I must now publicly appologise to a friend as I used to embarrass him by air guitaring very badly at all these gigs.
