| Lost Passion i took the corners deathly fast electric rush of jersey walls and cars and lines blurred by like yellow shooting stars igniting nights and burning gas and ending with a crash and jolts of flashing sonic light from great musicians soulful lightning notes they painted lust with soul igniting strokes and silenced lonely cries at night with hopeful dreams of flight in rooms where desperate angels played i drank the amber nectar of the gods my brain alight with thought and burning blood where heroes bragged of broken fates as strangers found their mates skin to skin in sweaty sheets the heavy darkness burned with black night fire all thoughts erased by flushes of desire ecstatic moans a desperate treat as lust erased defeat i tried to soar where angels fly but somehow lost my borrowed silver wings and now i must find joy in little things and worst of all i have to try to live beneath the sky crimson angels please come back and take me where the stars meet azure sky give my senses back their nightly lie im slowly sinking into cracks where life is cold and black Back to Index E-mail the Poet |
