Traditional Forms
by Mike Monroe
The Violinist

He pulls a flowing dream
that sprays the hall with peace
and streams with bow strokes,
steel strings singing,
leaning into sounds and feeling.

He plays a glowing phrase
and frees the seals of souls;
he throws his glee,
a glowing playful spree,
and pleases loving ears.
