This was a yard sale find for 2 dollars. I think it is great because it looks like my mothers cat, Tom, and it is a country style something my mom likes. Anyway, I had plans to use it in my original design, but when it reminded me of her, i scratched that idea. Instead, I am using a picture of white ducks, I found on print shop, which I will put in a frame. It goes better with the design.

These pillows were made from the pillow below, which is a picture of what the pillow looked like before. I picked two fabric, remnants, that I thought went well with the scheme in my room and sewed them together. I made two pillows which flank either side of my futon. These pillow look great as arms for my futon which doesn't have any arms. The first picture is of the front side of the pillow, which by the picture you can't tell, is made of a sheer lilac fabric with butterflies. The back side is made with a purple pink, lavender like fabric, that is silky.

This pillow is a brown pillow made for the brown/tan/red colored sofa in my living room. It basically was an B.H. 90210 pillow, i recovered. I think using what you already have and making it look new, is the key to decorating. There is also another matching brown pillow, with a black band down the middle.

This pillow is the one described above. it has a black band of fabric down the middle, which has what you can't see, a swirl/ spiral pattern, that kind of glows. I didn't have enough, so I decid- ed to run it down the middle, and flank the sides with brown. All three pieces were sewn seperate- ly and then sewn together.

The Red Gingham Dresser
I found an old dresser at one of my fathers rental properties. It was white with a big red and blue paint spot in the middle that looked like a bullseye. It was and ugly paint job, but a dresser in nice shape otherwise. So, I covered the drawers with a red gingham fabric. The same used on one of the lawn chairs, a piece that I bought as a remnant. Then I covered the sides in a white sheet, so that they would look nice, because painting wasn't in my time schedule. Then I added new handles to spice it up and some doylies. But, I'm not finished.
