Casa de la Lagartija (House of the Gecko)
The restoration of Casa de la Lagatija was finished in Spring 05. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower bedroom (which once housed the previous owner's mule) has walls between 3 and 4 ft thick and its own shower room, with hand-made local tiles in the Moorish style.

The light and airy Master Bedroom with its opulent furnishings has views over the orchard to the Rio Santo gorge beyond. The en-suite bathroom is furnished with antique brass fittings from Morocco. The top floor of the house is given over to a compact, well-equipped kitchen and living area with stunning views from the French windows and side terrace.

There is also a roof terrace with a glorious all-round panorama and reclining chairs for relaxing in the sun.
Wake up to the sun streaming through the orange trees and distant vistas of the Rio Santo gorge 4 foot thick walls where the mule once slept!
