Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
Unlocking cheats
Enter the Baldur's Gate II directory, and find the Baldur.ini file. It should be in the main Black Isle folder. Double click on it, and the .ini file will open in Notepad. Scroll down in the file until you reach the heading Program Options, and underneath, you should find a list of commands with numbers following (i.e., BitsPerPixel=16, Acceleration=0, etc.). Begin a new line anywhere under the Program Options heading, and write the command line: Debug Mode=1. This will tell your system to accept the cheats you will enter into the console. Save this file and exit. Now start the game and open the console prompt by pressing Ctrl and the space bar. Type the following codes and press Enter.
Level-up characters
After the console prompt, type: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("amount of experience points"), and hit Enter. The desired character has to be selected before entering the console. The XP cap is 2,950,000 XP, but remember to remove the commas when typing in the cheat.
Example: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("29500000")
Set all stats to 18 When generating your character attributes press ctrl+shift+8 to set all stats to 18.
Create gold
After the console prompt, type: CLUAConsole:AddGold("amount of gold") and hit Enter. Again, no commas.
Example: CLUAConsole:AddGold("250000")
Create items
After the console prompt, type: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("item reference number") and hit Enter. This cheat requires specific item reference numbers to work. A few are listed below.

Diablo II
Cow level
When you have the Horadaric Cube, obtain "Wert's Leg" in Tristram (where you go to rescue Deckhard Cain). Go to the northwest part of the town and search the boy's body. Place both Wert's leg and a Tome of Town Portal in the Horadaric Cube, and it will open a portal to a hidden level filled with axe carrying cows. Do not go through the portal until you are over level 35 because the cows are quite numerous and strong.
Windowed game
Start the game with the "-w" command line parameter to run it in a window on the desktop.
Retrieving items after death
Save and exit the game after dying. Restart the game, and your corpse will be in town, allowing you to retrieve your possessions.
Gain money and items quickly
Travel past the Blood Moor and look for a cave. The cave has two levels, with a golden chest somewhere at the second level. Inside are usually health potions, mana potions, scrolls of town portal or identify, unidentified weapons and armor, and sometimes even a rare item that can be sold for a great deal of money. If you identify the item and it is something that you do not want, sell it. Save and exit the game. The next time the game is loaded, the chest will still be there with different items. This can be done as many times as needed.
Avoiding Overwhelming Odds
Press [Esc] key when facing a no-win situation, then save and exit the game. Load the game again to start in town, where you can buy all items..
Unlimited Items
Travel past the Blood Moor and look for a cave. The cave has two levels, with a golden chest on the second level. Inside the chest there are usually health potions, mana potions, scrolls of town portal or identify, unidentified weapons and armor, and sometimes rare items. If you identify the item and it is something that you do not want, sell it. Save and exit the game. The next time the game is loaded, the chest will still be there with different items. This can be done as many times as needed.
Imbue Without Fear
When you want to imbue an item and are concerned about the outcome, copy the Save folder to the desktop or any other location. Start your game and imbue. If you do not like what happened, save the game and exit. You will now be back at the main menu again. Press the [Alt] and [Tab] keys and copy the Save folder back to its original location. Then click "Single Player Game" and start. You have another chance to imbue the item. Repeat this until you get the desired effect.
Infinite Use of the Town Portal
Cast a Town Portal from a safe location, then take it back to town. Use the waypoint system and get back to your previous location. You can use the portal to go back into town an unlimited number of times as long as you do not use it to get back from town..
Duplicate Items
This trick only works in an Open Battlenet game, since the characters need to be saved on your computer. The cheat requires two computers with two copies of Diablo 2. Get the items to be duplicated and copy the Save folder from the Diablo 2 folder from that computer and paste it on your desktop. Go online with both computers and meet in a game. Give the items to be duplicated to the second computer, then save and exit. Press the [Alt] and [Tab] keys on the first computer to switch to Windows and copy the Save folder from your desktop back to its original location, overwriting its current contents. Return and join the other computer in the game. You will now have all your original items and the other computer will have duplicates. This does not work with the +1 Skill book from Act 2..
Alternatively, this trick also only works in an Open Battlenet game. Place the item to be duplicated into your inventory. Then, save and exit the game. Return to the game or join a different one, and drop the item you want to duplicate. Remember the game name and password, then sign off of your ISP -- do not save and quit the game. Have another person in the game keep it open while you are logged off. Sign back on to your ISP, go back into the game, and pick up the item that you dropped. It will also still be in your inventory, so you will have two copies of that item.
