| A Glossary Of Terms: |
| Iacocca Mobile: A vehicle of 1980's vintage manufactured during the Iacocca regime by the Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth conglomorate generically referred to as MOPAR. Mr. Iacocca is despised because during his rule the standards for domestic auto quality were lessened drastically while planned obscolesence in autos became the standard of the land. Some prime examples of Iacocca Mobiles include (but are not limited to): 1. The "K car" and related bretheren autos (Dodge Aries K, Plymouth Reliant K etc.) 2. Chrysler New Yorkers, Fifth Avenues, LeBarons etc. 3. The Dodge Dynasty Generally speaking, any vehicle manufactured during the 1980's (primarily for members of the pre baby-boom generations) by "Mopar" can be referred to as an Iacocca Mobile. |
| Ghetto Sled: Originally a luxury vehicle for the upper social classes, neglect and negligence on the part of the original owners allow these primarily domestic sedans to depriciate into working vehicles for the lower Proletariat classes. Recent trends have seen a high percentage of late 80's/early 90's Oldsmobile and Buick sedans (again with their inherent planned obsolecence and inabillity to hold value) mutating into the Luxury Ghetto Sled of Choice for working class Prols everywhere. |
| Mopar: Generic Term for any vehicle Manufactured by the Chrylser Conglomorate. Generally despised by discriminating mechanics for reasons of low quality, poor design, quick depricieation, and general REDNECKNESS, any Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Amc, Jeep, or Mitsubishi can be referred to (in proper context, of course) as MOPAR GARBAGE. NOTE: "Mopar Rednecks" are an extremley hardcore and wiley type of auto enthusiast with strong fundemental feelings about their choice to deviate from the norms of the traditional GM/Ford "Good/Evil" domestic dualism, and as such, no matter how crappy their vehicle may be, deserve to be respected for their traditional "Third Party Stance" in the world of domestic U.S. autos.. |
