South Australia
This was the final state that I visited, South Australia was really nice, almost surprisingly so, as I'd heard very little about it.  But, it held some interesting things, Coober Pedy, Adelaide and the Barossa Valley, as well as a whole lot of restricted land and mines.  The mines covered a whole variety of things from opals to uranium.  Of the Outback that we saw, in many ways the SA Outback was most like I'd imagined the Outback was like, really really desolate.

"It's Hot, Damned Hot!"  I went with the intention of playing a round of golf but surprisingly the golf course was closed on sunday.  Coober's a hot, dusty town and a bit strange.  we meant to stay two nights but the heat and dust drove us South.

We aimed South to Adelaide and picked up our pace a bit, making it in three days.  It was an extreme temperature change, in Coober, I slept under my sarong which was soaking wet.  Three days later we were breaking out the blankets.  It went from 40c to 20c, and that's a shock to the system.

My first city in over 4 months.I really liked Adelaide and we had a wonderful place to park, right on the beach.  We spent the first day marveling over the traffic and people.

This was one of the nicest sunsets I'd seen in a while.  In the Outback, I found the sunrises far more dramatic and colourful for some reason.

On leaving Adelaide, Eva and I headed North (just to throw off track) and went to Wine Country, Barossa Valley.  From there, we made our lazy way towards Victoria, aiming for the Great Ocean Road.

Crocadile Harry's.  This was one funky underground home, residence of Harry an elderly Latvian who hunted crocs in his earlier years.  Most people tend to sign the walls, ceiling or roof while there, else leave there underwear.
