Praha, September 2001
After 9/11, I put my original plan of two months in Turkey on hold.  Spurred on by friends I'd met that summer in Greece, Aaron and I decided to head back up into Central Europe and go to Oktoberfest, the third for me.  However, we had some time to kill before Oktoberfest kicked off and we reasoned that Prague would be a good place to rest and await the festivities in Munchen.  After a somewhat harrowing three day trek from Mykonos North, we arrived in Prague and promptly crashed.  Two days later, Aaron thankfully convinced me to attend temple with him for the Jewish New Year, where I managed to find relief from a nagging problem that had plagued me since Corfu.  After a short romance that left me stricken, I boarded a train and rode the night to my second Oktoberfest in as many years.
