Facial Hair
Ever since I could, I've been growing beards and mustaches.  Why?  Because I could.  I've never sought to get a tattoo or a piercing, and I'm normally very conservative with my hair, but with facial hair I can easily change my appearance, and it's something that I can reverse with a razor and twenty minutes.  Below is a collection of the different facial hair styles I've tried over the years.  If you'd like to, click on the message board and post which is your favorite.  I don't have any illusions that I look good with facial hair, simply that I grow good facial hair, if you can understand the difference.
The Goatee and Mustache  This was the first one I ever had.  Usually, I keep them attached to each other, but sometimes I cut the handle bars off and have a seperate mustache and goatee.
Full Beard Not much to it, just stop shaving.  Well, I do trim my neck as that always itches and tend to clean my cheeks a bit, but other than that, it's fairly straightforward.
Burt Reynolds/Magnum PI You got to love the look.
The "Chopper" Handlebars Just let it run down to the jawline, I often make it a bit thicker on the bottom.
The Dali I was going for Salvador Dali with this one, but most people thought I looked more like a circus strongman.
Handlebars connected to Sideburns I first tried this for Halloween in 02 when my girlfriend at the time said I couldn't surprise her.  Heh heh heh, she was wrong.
The Gomez Addams A pencil thin line just across the lips.  I first grew this for the Parliament Concert in Auckland in '05
Goatee sans Mustache Sometimes, you just want some chin hair.
Sideburns from Hell I grew them really big and bushy.  Somewhat ridiculous, but fun.
The Greg At my final party in Agnes, I trimmed my mustache down to replicate the one that Greg had.
The Ringmaster This is the first truly new facial hair style I'd done in a while.  Everyday in Bangkok, people stop me and tell me they love it, some have even asked me to pose for a photo.  Geesh.
