| I bought this vest at the Salvation Army store in Haight/Ashbury at the start of my trip. I wasn't planning on taking it with me, I simply bought it to go out in San Francisco (see photos). However, I really liked it and so I brought it with me. It's wonderfully warm and excellent for hiking, as it keeps my torso warm yet I don't overheat in it. I also use the Buffalo as a pillowcase. When I sleep in my tent, I stuff my bathrobe into a stuff sack and then wrap the Buffalo around it, wooly side out. It really makes a wonderfully nice pillow. The vest recently was named the Buffalo by Theresa, a Bavarian I met in Wellington. |
