How does paid to read email work?
You sign up with companies for FREE. They sometimes give you a signup bonus, and a request or redemption limit. A request limit is the amount of money you must make before being allowed to withdraw your money. Be warned, 90% of paid to read email companies set their request limit so high that it will takes years to reach it!

The companies will send you out paid mail; you get money every time you click on a paid link in the mail, anything from 0.1 cents- 20 cents per mail. Just because a company has low paid link amount, e.g. 0.5 cents, doesn't mean they are bad, you will find they just have a low request amount; therefore they compensate for this with lower link pay.
You also get commissions from referrals, if a company has 3 levels of referrals at 10-5-5, this means when you refer a friend, you get 10% of their earnings, plus 5% of their referrals, and 5% of their referrals' referrals. Referrals is where the money is at, get a few friends to signup to your programs and see the extra money come in (once you have signed up with a company they will give you a referral link to give to your friend).
If you are starting off you may want to go with a company like emailsforcash, which has a low request limit of $1. This way you know that you will be able to reach your request limit. There are also programs that have no minimum request! These are great programs but of course having no minimum request you aren't going to get a lot of money per email, that's only fair.
You have to realize that you aren't going to reach a request limit of $20 on your own (well at least not very quickly). You need referrals to reach these payouts. If you don't think you can get many referrals signup for a program with $5 request limit or less.
To receive your money you can either get a check sent to you or paid through paypal. I never get checks because of the large fees that come with them. It's not worth it. What you can do is signup free for paypal and get your money through there. Paypal is an online banking account; you get all your commissions sent there. You then withdraw them directly into your bank account. It's easy, effective and is a must to save all those long waits for checks in the mail and hefty fees. One more thing before I go -- you always want to sign up for programs as early as possible. That is why I always list new programs on the site. The earlier you get in the more referrals you can get and the more profits you will make. Not all new programs are good though, and you may signup and then decide to leave after a week if the program is not good. I signup for new programs, put them on the site the day they are released, if they are worthy, I will put them in the section 2 list (section 1 list is the new programs, section 2 are the established programs that are really good), if they are not worthy (which 90% aren't) they will be removed. Signup for new programs and see for yourself, some new programs are dynamite, absolutely fantastic, with great payouts, these programs will have a *Hot next to them. These are "must" signups!
In other words, on my site I list only the best programs. I rank them by 'how good they are', 'no minimum request programs', and 'new programs'. Use the site to save your time and avoid waste-of-time programs.
