| 236 11/11/03 The Facade I haven�t wrote one of these in awhile but I�ll give it a try, Throughout history people were gladly willing to die, For their religion and their all mighty god(s), Given reasons to hate and kill behind the facade Organized religion is a silly thing, To base your life around the beliefs of another is maddening, Shouldn�t you have a right to pick and choose for yourself, And not be brainwashed into thinking this will save yourself Deeply religious people and atheists have something in common alike, They both are very stubborn in what they feel think and like, You can�t convince them otherwise even though there�s no prof either way, So to say that either side is right would be and bring complete disarray But one thing is for sure that religion hasn�t always been around, God didn�t create man, man created god to explain what could not be found, Because now a days if anything science has become our god, And that which cannot be explained will be if given enough time Hey I live by my morals and consider myself a good person because of it, And if there is a fair and just god he'll judge me on that and not if I commit, My life around him (or her) and whether I believe in him or not, And who�s to say that�s not how god intended it? (if there is one) |
