| 220 10/22/03 (The original was lost) 10/24/03 (This is the rewritten version) Phoenix Rising up from the ashes where it once had been destroy, But keep in mind this fiery experience was fully enjoyed, Emerges a figure stronger and wiser then seen before, With wings fully spread apart ready for what it has in store Looking out over the land with its eyes set on the goal, It�s first attempt to fly was followed by a violent roll, Lifting itself back up with new found confusion filling its mind, Something was definitely wrong here that it needed to find Then just when the mighty bird was ready again to leap into the air, An unknown force was felt holing it down with out much of a care, The bird could only watch as the rest of the world turned, But it was from this experience just watching where more of life it learned When it was finally released it was angry but eager to look around, Everything wasn�t now how it could remember that it had found, For the horizon off in the distance was now a certain shade of blue, And this sign alone was something that brought hope of life anew. |
