| 172 10/6/02 Fixing Consciences awakes to the sound, Enveloping every sense all around, For the beginning of all life has began, With the steady beat of survival running strong, Pumping into every vein and artery along, The super highway that all life needs to grasp a hold, To the enriched fluid within which transports all, Of everything needed to grow old With eyes closed shut it all begins, The first gasp of air for which itll now cling, For now the first noise can be heard, The first signal of someone completely new, With their first cry to tell everyone too, That this world just got that much bigger, So now everyone should now open their eyes, And see this new life with innocents and pride But realizing what is really to be, To this life that just needed to see, The true meaning of this world, That you need to see and cant be told, Because youre only innocent for so long, Then your mind develops and you become one, Of the lying cheats of our complicated world, Though you can change that on your own Still little is this child till it grows, Into the world experiencing the unknown, Carrying out whatever their heart desires, Crawling around having other people to worry, About what could happen if they let go, And let this little one go on its own, But they wouldnt let a baby do a thing like that, Because it could get hurt and no one wants that Now walking around their house with joy, Yelling at their sister to give them that toy, Eating any things that they happen to find, Crying over what anything that seems unkind, Like when their mom takes away the bottle, Theyll cry and cry till theyre satisfied, Even though the mother thinks she knows best, For right now the baby will make decisions in the nest Life is changing as the first bell rings, Running along trying to stay focused, On everything that they tell her, That school is for fun with some learning, And it will seam to be this way, Just like they had told her, But as time goes by she begins to realize, Opening her eyes finally to the lies Days go by within an instant, While time just seems to move quit still, Even though shes still a child, Something else is trying to grow, Out to show the bunch around her, About just what she wants to say, But yet she cant for fear of going, Somewhere where she dares not say Onward through life it goes unchanging, With the same schedule everyday, Waking up early for the school bus, Still hoping for everything to go away, To make all the bullies and the teachers, Just leave her alone for this one day, And maybe she would stop thinking, About how much it hurts day after day With a wave of time it all seems to differ, From the time which she loved, Sixteen years old now but she can still remember, Her childhood and all her goals, But looking now nothing seems to fit, And shed end it all if only she could, But whenever she tries to end all the pain, It always comes back more worse then it had began Watch out for what you do, Dont leave time for you to, Think about your life as of, With all the things going wrong, Cause it will always seem like hell, No matter what your people tell, Just leave it be and go on, Cause nothings solved from dwelling on! Open youre mind, And it will come No mater what You are told Theres nothing wrong With going on So in this story you have to see, How a child is meant to be, And even if it seems unclear, Fighting on is where you need to steer And even with all the downs, Somethings bound to come around, Even if you feel the end seems near, Fight through your hell without a tear With these words should took to heart, And fought and fought for everything she thought, But when it was, All said, And done, Nothing! She could do Could fix, Whats done. Though she lay, Broken on the floor, She lifted herself up, For the oncoming war, And even though, She was totally scared, She lifted her head, And screamed into the air Why am I even here? If all you do is destroy and tear, Everything that means something to me, Then why even put up with me? Cause if youre so great and strong, And could not do anything wrong, Look at me with your grace and wisdom, And everything that you did promise, And tell me how you could Let it get like this!?! But I now know what has happened, I again fell back on what I have been told, By seeking guidance where there is no one, And now I know Im alone Cause nothing that anyone can tell me, Would convince me otherwise to this fact, With open eyes I now continue, To find answers to my problems, As the struggle now continues So the next few years were tuff, She put it all out on the line, And when the day came, She no longer felt empty inside For everything that she had done, Was everything that she could, So there werent any regrets, Or whishes that she dids, And as the end came, With sixty years had gone by, Since that faithful day, She left everything behind, She remembered then, When all her goals were formed, Where now on completing these, She felt completely whole Smiling at the sun, With nothing on her mind, Forgetting all of her hardships, And the emptiness that use to be inside, Just starring at the sun, Feeling completely new, Ready for whatever, The unknowing forever has in store So she closed her eyes, And slowly slipped away, Ending the steady sound, Of her heart that no longer would beat another day. |
